Out of Time

Introduction

Arianna ran after the men who had taken her wallet after getting dropped off at the wrong place from the airport. Her suitcase being pulled behind her and her carry-on on her shoulder, she was quite weighed down. "Hey! Stop!" She yelled at them, hoping that they would listen to her idiotic pleas. Unfortunately, she lost sight of them after they had turned down an alleyway and on the other side. Letting out a frustrated yell, she shouted "How can this get any worse? I fly to London, I get dropped off by an idiot taxi driver, and now I get mugged! How can this get any worse!" She screamed. Just then, she felt a few raindrops hit her face until it became a downpour. "Of. Course. How cliche...." She looked around trying to find any place of housing and saw none that were suitable. "Typical. I get dropped off in the trashy part of London."

She began to walk down the road, keeping track of any sound that she can hear through the rain. Eventually, she got to the forest edge and sought shelter under the trees for a bit until sh saw an overgrown path leading further into the forest. "Well, what do we have here?" She trudged through the grass and followed the path down to its destination. What she found was a mansion, one the size she thought only existed in movies. "What in the world...." She quickly went up to the door, hoping to get a bit out of the ran. She pounded on it shouting "Hello! Hello! Is anyone in there?" When she got no response after a while, she pushed on the handle and it opened. "Huh, unlocked eh?" She went in and saw how immaculate decorated the place was. "I promise I am not a robber! I just need some shelter for the night!" Again, getting no response, she made her way up to the second level and tried every room until she found a large bedroom. "Finally!" She dropped her suitcase and carry-on by the wardrobe and flopped onto the bed. When she woke up, she had a strange feeling she wasn't where she thought she was anymore.
