I woke up, it was 5pm.Got up from my bed quickly and went to open the door rubbing my eyes. I opened the door,Alex was standing there in Maroon shirt and black jeans which I had bought for today's party .he was holding big brown bag. I was suprised to see him after the fight we had in the morning but I didn't show him. I went to washroom to brush my teeth. Alex went to the kitchen and started to empty the contents of the bag.
Milk.Eggs.Bread.

I came to the kitchen and sat at the dinning table. Alex started whisking eggs in a big bowl and then poured milk,sugar and cinnamon powder.I smiled.

"Baby,i am making French Toast.i hope you are hungry".Alex said with a big smile."Also kept tea for brewing". He put 2 cubes of butter in the pan to melt.

I smiled back at him. Removed plates and tea cups from cupboard. Wiped them and kept them on the kitchen platform. Alex started diping the sliced bread into the egg-batter and shallow fried them in the pan. I poured the tea in cups and took them to the dining table

Showing up at my place and cooking for me is one of Alex's way to make up for his absence at the office party tonight.He had made plans with his college friends for their monthly drinking routine.I was angry with him all week,i had thought not to let him go off so easily. But I melted when I saw him cooking for me. Alex plated the food and brought to the table.

I stuffed the yummy French toasts and seeing this Alex started laughing. I am a big foodie ,he knows very well how to play me. I gave him a angry look. He laughed even more.

"What time I you leaving ?" Alex asked as he started to pick up the empty plates. I picked up the cups and went to the basin to clean them."in half and hour. "I answered.

"Go dress up. I will do the dishes. " he suggested. I smiled and ran to the bedroom.
