Sophia's P.O.V
I pick up my phone, I feel like going drinking with my friends later. I text them all individually: Emma, Liz, Amelia, Rachael and Louise. I type 'Do you fancy going into town later for a few drinks and have a girly night with the rest of the girls?' I copy and paste the message into each chat as I can't be bothered to type it all over and over again.
Within a few minutes I get my first reply, it is from Rachael, as she always is first. I'm sure she lives on her phone! I slide open my phone and start reading the message. 'Sorry, I can't tonight, I've booked the cinema with Tommy, Liz and Oliver.' I feel like replying 'Can't you spend one night without Tommy,' but I know if I say that then there will probably end up being an argument. So I click on the reply button and type, 'Oh okay, maybe next time?' Then, I click send.
As if on cue, Liz texts, I know she's just going to say the same thing as Rachael, that she's going on a double date with Rachael. I slide open the message. 'I can't tonight, going out with Oli. Maybe next time?' That's what she said last time but oh well, but if the others come then we can still have a good time. 'Ok', I reply. I press the button on the side of my phone to switch it off and put it on my knee while I watch TV.
**Ding**
I glance at my phone. A message from Amelia, I pick it up and read what it says. 'I'm having a cosy night in with Rob, sorry.' Urggghh great. I was in a really good mood before and now I can't even be bothered going out later. I've not been out with my friends for ages as they all have relationships, then there's just me; a single 23 year old.
I start replying when another message comes through. Louise. I click on the message, 'Not tonight, Nandos night with the other half :)'. I finish replying to Amelia and reply to Louise.
What do I do now? I was looking forward to a night with the girls. These messages have just made me realise how alone I am. I am ready for a boyfriend but it just seems that no ones ready for me. :( . I'm not even bothered what Emma says, we can't really go out just us two.
**Phone starts ringing**
It's Emma.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey Soph, I was meant to be going to Cam's parents house, but when you mentioned going out, I asked Cam an he said that it was fine not going to his parents. Soooo count me in :)" She says speeding her words at the end.
"Everyone else has plans with their boyfriends so it's a bit pointless going out now." I say softly.
"Oh well, I'll come to your house and I'll bring the drinks to you"
"You sure?" I question.
"Yep see you in 30!" She says excitedly and hanging up the phone.
The night might not be so bad after all..
A.N// Sorry this is a really bad first chapter, hopefully the next one will be a bit better. Hope you like it anyways :)
