Chapter 6

--next morning--

Law woke up to find Rin was already out. He got dressed properly into his usual clothes and went out of the room. "Ahhhh!!!!!" He heard a shout from the hallway. Shachi?

He ran down the hall and to the kitchen. Rin was there as well, as he expected. What he didn't expect was for Rin to be bending Shachi's left arm behind him. "What do you think you're doing?!" Law shouted, getting pissed his new crew mate was hurting his crew.

She quickly let go of Shachi's arm and went over to Law. She bent down and bowed her head down. "I'm sorry, master," she said, "but I detected his lustful moves and found the need to punish him. After all, I'm all yours to play with." This pissed Law off, alright!

"Get up," he said and she did as told, "now how many times do I have to tell you I just wanna help you?! And it's Law, for God's sake!"

"I can cut off my arms if you want as a repayment for causing you trouble, Law," she said calmly and picked up a knife from the kitchen table. "Don't!" he shouted taking the knife from her hand and putting it down on the table.

"Just go to your room and rest your fever isn't healed yet," he said trying to control his anger. "For now or eternity?" she asked. Her voice was so stern and serious it didn't even had the least bit of humor or emotion. "For now," he said and saw her figure leaving the room. "What was that about, Captain..?" asked the scared Shachi from the corner. "I wish I knew," Law said putting a hand on Shachi's shoulder to calm him down.

*at night*

"Oi, Rin-ya?" Law asked as he laid down on the bed beside her. "Yes, Ma-Law?" she asked. Other people might have thought her to be curious but Law knew there was no life in that voice of hers. 

"I wonder if you're those kind of girls who act tough and strong in the morning but always cry themselves to sleep?" Law asked. He knew by now that the answer would be a 'no' but he just wanted her to talk.

"Crying is for the living. And by the way, did you know if you had been crying too hard you couldn't cry anymore for sometime even if you wanted to? (I'm speaking out of experience here)" she said. 'I don't know if she makes me want to be protective of her or be pissed at her words.' Law thought.

*next day at lunch*

Everyone was eating. Penguin and Shachi were cracking silly jokes. Rin-ya was quietly eating her food. Bepo and Law were talking.

"Captain," Bepo said looking towards Law, "we're reaching an island soon..." Law was surprised at this, they just left their previous island. "That fast?" he asked. "Yes," the polar bear said and showed Law the map. The island was oval with pointed opposite sides and a little circle forest in the middle.

"It's called the Eye Island," Bepo said. "I'm guessing there's more to the name other than the shape of the island," said Law. They wouldn't name an island the Eye Island only because it's shaped like it, now would they? My smart little Law...

"People say that the Island has it's own eyes," Bepo started explaining, "if you ever do something bad something will come and slice you up no matter wherever you are as long as you're on the island".

'That's a pretty lame and ridiculous story.' Law thought, 'I'm guessing there are thieves or bandits hiding themselves somewhere in the island and pretending to be God so that the people don't enter their area. Either that, or it's true -you never know what happens in the sea. But the possibility of it being true are very less.'
