Hello readers! This story originally started as an English assignment where he wanted us to write a journal and said it could be about anything so of course I decided to write a novel. I hope you enjoy it and comment what you think or any questions that you have! ;p

Bright... It's too bright. I woke up blinded by a light shining right on me. "She's awake!" a woman standing over me called to a group of people standing off in the distance who came running over. "Get that thing out of my face" I said. The woman helped me up. My legs gave way beneath me. I felt depleted and dizzy. I looked around but my eyesight was foggy. All I could see were lights, blue and red flashing lights coming from all around me. I blacked out again.

...

I woke up to a sickly lemon scent. I felt two tubes in my nose which were extremely uncomfortable. My eyes opened groggily. I was in a white and powdered blue spotted hospital gown. Why was I in a hospital? My heart started to beat faster and faster. A rapid beeping came from a machine next to me. A man came running in the room. "Miss are you okay?" His face looked flustered. I calmed down the beeping slowed "Yes I'm fine. Where am I?" The man looked at me his brown eyes filled with worry. "I'm doctor Frey. You're in Myrtle Beach, SC." He said. What kind of place is this? "How did I get here?" I asked. "We were hoping that you could tell us that." Another woman with black hair and honey colored eyes came through the door bringing the delicious scent of coffee with her. "I don't know. I can't even remember who I am." The realization struck me. I really didn't know who I was. The man and the woman looked very morose. They began whispering quietly in the corner. "She doesn't know who she is!" The woman said. "Gina it's okay, we just need to contact the police and see if any missing persons reports have been filed matching her description." The man's statement calmed Gina and she stopped fretting. They came back over to the hospital bed. Gina smiled "Well sweetie it looks like you'll be staying with us for a while." "I'm sure you'll find your memories in no time." The man smiled too, but his looked baleful. I could automatically see that he was dangerous.

I spent the next week feeling like a guinea pig in an experiment as the ran over thirty test on me. I know, I was counting! In the end they found that I was perfectly healthy no drugs or alcohol present in my system. They also found out that I have A+ blood type and I have an allergy to a medication called Amoxicillin.

One day awoke to find a police officer passed out in the chair on the right side of my bed. He looked young with light brown hair and clean shaven face almost baby like. I smirked, grabbing the small dixie cup filled with water off of the cherry wood bedside table and splashing it in his face. He woke up with a cantankerous look in his storm cloud blue eyes, but he quickly settled down after he saw me. "Morning officer." I laughed. He remained unamused. "Good morning ma'am." He said "I'm Sargent Austin, I'll be taking you to the today to see if we can identify any relatives that may be able to help you. You will also be meeting with a shrink to try and help you with your amnesia. Some clothes have been provided for you." He handed me a pair of skinny jeans, brown leather boots, with a matching leather jacket and a T-shirt with little crabs on it and in the center the phrase "I'm not crabby." was written in red bolded block letters. He left the room for me to get dressed. The jeans were a bit too tight around my hips and the T-shirt was uncomfortably snug around my chest, but it was a lot nicer than wearing hospital gowns for a week. After putting on the boots, which fit perfectly surprisingly, I walked into the minuscule bathroom and started to brush my wild, lion like hair into a messy bun on top of my head. I then walked outside where Sargent Austin was waiting. "Are you all ready?" he asked "Yes, Sir. Let's go."
