I stumble into the wall behind me as blood trickles down my face onto my lips.
"Go on! Punch me again, I need to gain resistance to punches." I push myself off the wall and get into a fighting stance, my fists in front of my face.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to get hurt." My best friend Demitra looks back at me, worry in her dark green eyes. I smear the blood that's on my face.
"It's not like you've not hurt me already." I say sarcastically.

"I'm not going to do it." She says stubbornly, putting her arms by her sides sharply.

"Aww, come on! Don't think of me as your friend." I say leaning back onto the wall. She looks up at me, her eyes blazing- almost literally. Then suddenly her fist made contact with my nose and my head went back, smacking into the wall. My legs give out and I flop onto the cold concrete floor.

"Ow! You could of given me a warning at least!" I put my hand up to my nose and look at it. The blood is purple mixed with my normal red blood and my blue healing blood. A perk of my heritage.

"Oh my!! I'm so sorry!" She kneels down next to me her hand trying to wipe the blood away. I bat her hand away a haul myself onto my knees.

"Let's just get back home." She helps me up and I lean on her shoulder. "I just hope we haven't missed the train."

We rush to the station just as the train is about to leave, "hey!" Demitra shouts, waving an arm to stop the train. It slows slightly and the closest door starts to opens, Demitra shoves me through the opening gap and jumps in after. I lie on the floor of the carriage, my eyes closing and wait for the train to reach our station.

"Kaith, wake up. The train has arrived." I open my eyes suddenly, darting around until they rest on Demitra shaking my shoulders.

"Oh, we're on the train..." I get up wobbily and notice the dried blood on my fingertips. I stumble out of the train and look up at our apartment block and jog up to the door and open it. Making my way up the stairs I look over to Demitra. "One day, one day I'll make the Island's army and I will serve the monarchy." I say proudly, unlocking out door and slamming it closed after us.

I walk over the window and look at the giant castle in the distance on the section where our powers are released. I will wait a month to get over there.
