Stage Fright (Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 11!!

I'm now at the reception, and they just had a toast to Greg and Denise.

"Now for the first dance.", Mrs. Maura, Niall's mom, announced. Tears brimming over her eyes when she smiled watching her son and his newly wedded wife come to the dance floor.

Wait! This is it! It's time for us to sing! Adrenaline shot through my body. Niall who was next to my side helped to guide me up to the stage in front of the dance floor, in the huge room.

Two microphones were placed at the center of the stage. Once we were in front of the microphones I looked to Niall who whispered, "I'm right here! You'll do great!", He smiled.

I nodded in reply. Then looked out to the vast crowd, who were spread out to make a circle for Denise and Greg to dance in. I then heard a loud voice shout, "Yeah, Lillie! WOO!".

My head flicked to the voice to see Louis and the rest of the boys over to the side of the stage. I could see them all shushing Louis, who was the one who yelled. Niall and I laughed and my nervousness subsided a little more now.

I realized that it would be alright and I heard the music start up from behind me and the happy married couple went into the circle smiling. I smiled, and leaned towards the microphone, "This is for Denise and Greg, who I have grown to love!". Then Niall leaned also and said, "To my big bro, I love you man. I hope you and Denise have a long happy lfetime together!", He smiled also to reveal his perfectly straight pearly white teeth.

 (A'N), I would write down the whole song but it would take up too much time! So, look up Use Somebody by boyce avenue, featuring Hannah Trigwell, because thats the song they sing. Okay back to the story!)

I started off kinda shaky but as I watched Niall he seemed to comfort me, I eased into the song and got down to regular singing. I smiled and shared glances with some of the crowd. I saw my family, Niall's family, Sam and Ashley who both gave me thumbs ups, and of coarse the boys who looked happy as well!

When the song ended the new wedded couple stopped dancing and regualar music played, with the bass beating. "I did it!", I exclaimed hugging Niall.

"Its not as bad as you always thought is it!", He hugged back.

"No, not at all! I mean at first but not really!", I said excitedly.

We got down off the stage and greeted Sam and Ashley.

"Oh my gosh! You were amazing Lillie!", Sam said rushing up to me. "You did too Niall!".

We both said thank you and I hugged both of them.

"How in the world did he convince you to do it?", Ashley wondered.

"Yeah, we've been trying for years but never got anything out of her!", Sam looked over at Niall who was proud and grinning.

"I have my ways!", He chuckled nudging me.

I laughed, "Im glad I did do it!". As we continued with our conversation the boys came up to us commenting on how good we were and we thanked them.

We all chatted for a while and then danced and soon it came to an end. As everyone started to leave, I saw Liam asking Sam to help him carry his load to the car for when he was going to leave tomorrow. I completely forgot, Niall's leaving. What do I do?

As I headed to Nialls car a firm hand grabbed my forearm, and I turned to see who it was!

Niall looked back too, "Uncle Simon?".
