*Ashton's POV*
I wiped the sweat from my forehead, removing the red bandana that was tied around it. I clicked my drum sticks together, counting off for the next song.
I crashed he cymbals, hit the drums as hard as I could. I gave this song all I had. Even if there were less than twenty people at the venue.
The set ended and me and my band made our way off stage after the singer thanked everyone for coming out. The audience gave a mediocre applause and went back to sipping there alcoholic drinks. I snatched my bandana from my microphone and rushed backstage.
The owner of the club met us back there and handed each of us a paycheck for the night. We thanked him and went our separate ways to go change.
I found my own room, stripped my sweaty black tank top and faded black jeans, and hopped into the small shower located in the room.
After I dried myself of, I slipped on a white muscle shirt and a new pair of black skinny jeans. I ruffled my hair to attempt to dry it a bit and made my way out to meet the other band members in the club.
I stuffed my hands into my pockets as I maneuvered through a few couples dancing together until I got to the bar. I found one of my bandmates and patted his shoulder before sliding onto the stool next to him.
"Hey man. Took you long enough," he said. I chuckled and playfully nudged him.
"Shut up, Luke. Where'd the other guys go?" I asked, looking around the dancefloor, attempting to find our two other bandmates.
"They found some groupies and left. So it's just you and me, buddy!" He slung his arm around my shoulder and I shrugged him off.
"I need a drink." I look around the bar to try to find the bar tender. I started to get frustrated when I couldn't find them and nearly gave up. Until someone popped out from under the counter.
"Sorry! Had to restock some ice," he said. "What can I get for ya?" I took a second to look at this guy. His dark hair was slightly sweaty, letting it make little curls at the top. His chocolate brown eyes boring into mine as he waited for an answer. His tattooed arm flexing as he swung a white towel over his shoulder. His long fingers impatiently tapping on the counter.
"I'll have a vodka soda," Luke said, breaking me from my thoughts.
"Y-yeah, I'll have the same," I stuttered out.
"Coming right up," the insanely hot bar tender replied.
I felt Luke nudge my shoulder. I shot him a glare as he chuckled. "What?" I snapped at him.
"I saw you checking him out," he said, still laughing.
"I was not checking him out. I was just observing his appearance." I dropped the conversation at that. Of course I was checking him out. How could I not? But I wouldn't say anything to him because he may not be as accepting as Luke.
"Two vodka sodas. On the house," the bar tender said, placing our drinks in front of us.
"Why on the house?" I asked, trying to avoid looking at his biceps flex as he wiped the counter.
"You guys are in the band, yeah? I thought you guys were good, so you deserve a free drink for performing tonight."
"We were shit tonight," I said, taking a sip from my drink.
"I thought you rocked. Those drum beats were sick."
I looked up at him as he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. I gave a small smile back.
