I woke up in my own bed, alone. I remember that kian and I were watching the sunset last night while we were going 'camping.' I checked my phone and I had 12 missed calls from jc and many texts from connor and jc.

I'll go over to jc's house later. it was almost noon, so I got out of bed and went downstairs.
kian was on my couch, watching the office. my house smelled like coffee. I sat down next to him.
"oh hey, you're awake." he said, pausing the show.
"I am so tired. camping wears a girl out." I said and he laughed.
"you shouldn't be. first of all, you barely did anything while we were camping. and you fell asleep while we were watching the sunset. after the bear chased us, you made me carry you back to my car."
"what can I say; I'm quite lazy." I said, going into the kitchen and pouring some of the coffee kian made.
"we should hang out today. I feel like I never see you anymore." kian said and made a pouty face.
"we will, I promise. I miss you." he grinned.
"oh, and by the way, jc and connor called me about 8 times asking if you could come over later. its urgent, I guess." kian said.
"yeah, I should be going over there soon. do you mind?" I asked and he shook his head.
I walked upstairs and changed my clothes since they were the same ones I had on during the camping trip.
"have fun." kian said quietly.
"we can hang out around 3, okay? you're the best." I said and kissed his cheek as I was leaving.-
"jesus, kris. it took you long enough." jc said when I arrived at his house.
"well I'm sorry that I was having a horrible time on a camping trip with my boyfriend." I said and he sighed.
jc's house always reminds me of our childhood, mostly because it's where I spent the majority of my younger years.
"oh my god, you'll never guess what we have to tell you." connor appeared in the living room and sat down on the couch. jc and I did the same.
"you know jack johnson and sammy wilkinson, right?" jc asked.
"yeah, why? they're friends with Jack." I replied. connor and jc both exchanged looks.
"connor and I were in target and they came up to us. I don't know how they knew us, but it's probably from you." jc said.
he continued. "anyways, sammy said that jack has something planned with you." jc paused and looked at connor.
"planned? like what? and why would they need to tell you this?" I questioned.
"they both said for you to be careful around him. neither of them would give me any details, but I'm pretty sure that it's something...odd." connor said.
"wait. isn't he still 'dating' andrea?" both boys shook their heads.
"nope. c'mon krista, you know that he wasn't actually dating her." jc said. I do remember the countless times that jack told me that. I just never believed him.
"so why was this so important that you needed to tell me right now?" I asked.
"we were just being the great best friends that we are and were warning you of the possibilities." connor said and jc agreed.
"I don't think it's in my best interest to go, anyways. he's my ex, that's just weird." I replied.
"you should go! who knows, he might want to be friends after all that's happened." connor said.
"I agree. I think you should give him a chance. it's not like he's done anything totally horrible." jc said.
maybe I'm overreacting about all of this. after all, we did both decide to end our relationship.
-
we talked a little more about jc's nonexistent love life and connor's relationship with troye. I must've gotten a little too wrapped up in the conversation because before I knew it, it was already 5pm. I promised kian to be home by 3.
"shit, sorry. I gotta go. see you guys later, love you lots." I said while rushing out the door.
-
kian's car was no longer in my driveway when I arrived. there was a note on my door.
call me when you get home. ~kian.
I feel terrible that I'm late. I don't want kian to feel as if I'm abandoning him or anything like that. I dialed his number and he picked up on the fourth ring.
'hey.'
'kian, I'm really sorry that I was late. we just got wrapped up in-' he cut me off mid-sentence.
'save it, krista. it's fine. it just seems as if everytime I want to hang out with you lately, you make other plans.' he sighed.
'I know, and I'm really sorry.'
'it's whatever. see you later.' kian said and then hung up.
I hate having him mad at me. there really isn't any reason for him to be upset with me. he isn't the only person in my life, I do have friends.
-
ooh a little tension there! I have a feeling that some of you will hate how I'm moving the plot and others will love it.
I'm really excited for these upcoming chapters.
please vote and leave me some comments. love you!
