chapter 4

Pain.
That's what Alex felt as she slowly opened her eyes to the blinding sun pour through her window. She hissed quietly but it was enough to wake Tristan from his nap in the chair beside her bed. Tristan jumped up quickly and ran to pull the curtains
"Alex, your awake" he said softly coming to sit on the edge of her bed.
Alex sat up, but got a shooting pain in her stomach.
"Yeah." She gasped holding her stomach. Tristan panicked.
"Oh my god are you okay?!" He said reaching forward to help Alex sit up. He went to pull away from her when suddenly Alex pulled him back into a hug.
"I'm fine" she whispered into his shoulder.
They pulled apart slightly and got lost in each others eyes. Slowly they both began to lean forward. Alex knew she had feelings for Tristan and really wanted to press her lips against his, to feel their warmth and softness against her own , now pale and chapped ones. They closed their eyes and just as their lips brushed against each other's, the double doors into the room swung open harshly and a guard stepped in and to the side and in strode Aria. Alex and Tristan quickly jumped away from each other, causing Alex to groan in pain and Tristan to fall off the bed.
"Alex... I see your awake..." Aria stated smugly and Alex couldn't help but feel like she was hiding something.....
