Narrator's POV:
The year is 1534, and it was the third annual masquerade ball. And at this ball, there was this beautiful girl named Auri, who was liked by mostly everyone. Except, Scarlette Jones, who was severely jealous of Auri. So at this ball, she planned to kill her. And since she was an alchemist, she used many potions. Though, she made one specifically for Auri.
Auri arrived at the ball. Did she have a date? Nah, not yet anyways. She walked in with her beautiful red and gold dress with her matching gold mask that brought out her hazel eyes. Her hair was in some nice loose curls that went past her shoulders, and she had some lip gloss on with a slight blush as well. " Hey Auri!" everyone chimed in and said. " Hey you guys!"she eagerly replied back, yet Scarlette was keeping a good eye on her from afar.
Once everyone scattered, Scarlette decided to make a move in. She came up to Auri, " Heeey there.. Auri." She said while mentally frowning so hard. " Oh. Hey Scarlette, you look very nice today." Auri said with a smile. Scarlette was wearing a silver dress, and she went for the half up half down look, which looked pretty nice on her, if I do say so myself. ANYWAYS, " Thaanks Auri.. You too... Hey Auri, would you like a drink? You seem pretty parched after talking to all of your friends.." Scarlette smirked knowing that her plan was about to commence. " Sure, I'm not gonna turn down that offer." "Okay, wait right here.. I'll be back in a jiffy." Who says jiffy.. If you say jiffy I love ya, but stop, you're cute. (BACK TO THE STORY MR. NARRATOR.) Scarlette went to the punch bowl, she poured Auri a cup, but when no one was watching she slipped the WRONG potion in. How did this happen? Well let me tell you, I know all. Earlier on that day, Scarlette was brewing her potions. She made two different potions yet they were identical, and Scarlette not being the brightest of them all, didn't care to label them. Now don't get me wrong, she's not stupid, but her common sense levels aren't the highest. So she put the wrong potion in her bag. And that is the end. I kid I kid. Scarlette brought the drink back to Auri. " Thanks Scarlette!" she said as she handed her the cup. Auri gulped down the whole thing. "Boy you must've been pretty thirsty." Scarlette looked at Auri while raising a brow.
Things were different from Auri's point of view. Speaking of her point of view, let's switch to hers.
Auri's POV:
The drink was delicious, but it made me feel weird, and not a good weird either, I felt nauseous and a bit lightheaded. I looked at Scarlette with thoughts running through my head..."Did she do this to me? I bet it was the drink..How could she do this to me..She'll pay" Today people would see the other side of Auri.( NARRATOR IT IS NOT YOUR TURN.) Anyways, I felt like puking, so I went to the bathroom, I sighed and went to to splash my face with water. When I looked in the mirror, my eyes widened. My eyes were gold.. Just plain gold.. Without an iris.. I mentally screamed and tried to keep calm. I walked back out trying to keep my head down so no one could see my unhuman like eyes. I stormed over to Scarlette, "You!.. You did this to me!" I yelled, yet no one really payed attention, which in this case, was a good thing. She looked really surprised, "Y-You... You shouldn't be here... Why are you still here?!" She managed to get out beyond all her shock. " What do you mean I shouldn't be here?" Scarlette rummaged around in her purse, " Shit.." she cursed to herself. " I don't care what you're trying to do here! But what did you do to me!? Do you see my eyes?," I stared at her, "This isn't normal!"
Scarlette's POV:
All that was going through my mind was " Shit shit shit shit shit fuuuuck, I must've mixed of the potions and gave her... Oh no.. I gave her... That one.... This isn't good at all." "You're gonna pay for this." Is all I heard her say before I started to run.
Auri's POV:
I ran after Scarlette with my anger building up, I also guess I was pretty lucky with not wearing heels. Any who, I held my arms out to tackle her but this is where it all went weird, for me at least.
My hands started to get really hot, I wasn't being burned or anything, but they just got hot. Next thing I knew there was a flame being shot at Scarlette, and it came from my hands! That is when everyone turned and looked at me. Scarlette laid there on the floor, unmoving. I stood there in shock. Now at that very moment, I didn't like Scarlette at all, but I didn't want to kill her either. Everyone stood there in shock, "S-Stop staring at me." I managed to stutter, "I said stop!" Flames formed around me, and everyone took a step back. Though still staring deeply into my soul, okay not literally, but that is what it felt like. "You people don't understand kindness.." I thought about it in my mind for a few, "Do I really want to do this, it's not like I actually liked any of these people.. But they were my friends...No they weren't, you know you hated them.." It was like an angel and devil sitting on my shoulders, and about now, the Angel me was losing. "Burn.." I said in my mind, and everyone was engulfed in flames. There were screams heard from everyone. I took no damaged, but when I tried to take off my mask.. It was stuck there. The police would be here to investigate soon, so I sat and waited for them to come. When they came, I looked at them with a smile. And just know, they never ended up taking me to prison, nor would they take anyone else.
