Nightmare Or Dream?

Chapter 1: The beginning

One night, 2 kids. Maggie and Roger were getting ready to watch their favorite movie, Maggie got the drinks and Roger got the popcorn. The kids were so excited but there was always a problem before sitting down and relaxing.

"Uh.. Maggie" said Roger, " Yea whats up?" Maggie asked. " i burnt the popcorn" roger said nervously. 

" AGAIN?.. Thats the 4th time roger!!!" Maggie yelled, " I'm sorry it just happened i don't know how" Roger said. "Ugh how long did you put it in for?" Maggie asked.. " uhh.. 6 minutes" Roger said.. "Oh my god its suppose to be 3 minutes, know what never mind ill do the popcorn" Maggie insisted " fine" Roger said. 

The two kids got everything they needed to start their night. Then their parents came downstairs. " ok kids your mother and i are going to be out all night, there is food in the fridge,and  if anything happens call the police and us OK?" said the father.

As the parents left the house, the 2 kids had their entire night set, a house to themselves and no rules.. But what they didn't know.. Is that their night of fun and relaxation was about to take a turn for the worse. About 40 minutes into the movie.. Maggie.. heard a sound that made her stomach twist and turn.

"Hey,Roger" said Maggie. " huh.. Yeah" Roger responded. "Did you hear that noise?" Maggie asked frightened. "Noise? No i didn't hear anything, it may just have been from the movie" Roger said.

 " yeah.. The movie" Maggie said relieved. But Maggie kept hearing the noise and it continues to punch her eardrums like loud music. "Maggie are you OK?" Roger asked. But Maggie was so stuck on the noise that she couldn't hear a word her brother was saying. Roger paused the movie and helped his sister up. 

"Come on Maggie, lets get you to your room" Roger said. " oh..oh..okay" Maggie said. Before heading into her room, Maggie fell onto the floor and threw up what looked like blood. " OH MY GOD" Roger screamed as he ran downstairs towards the phone. Maggie came downstairs laughing.

"Hahaha i got you" Maggie said still laughing. "What.. It was a joke? DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT" Roger said trying to calm down. "Aha I'm so sorry, lets get back to the movie"said Maggie. The brother and sister continued to watch the movie. The clock struck 8:30 and their movie was over.

 "So now what?" Roger asked. "For the first time i don't know, lets just watch some TV" Suggested Maggie. "Sounds like a plan" Roger agreed. After a good 30 minutes into watching TV Roger asked Maggie about the noise she heard. 

"Hey Maggie.. The noise you were talking about.. Was that part of the joke?" Asked Roger. "No.. But it sounded like a faint scream and nails rubbing against a chalkboard" Maggie replied. "Wow.. I don't know how i didn't hear it but that's creepy" Roger said. "Yeah i know, thank god its over" Maggie said.  when it struck 11 o'clock the kids knew it was time for bed. "Wow 11 already? This night when by fast" Maggie said. "Yeah i know" Roger agreed.

The two headed upstairs and into their bedrooms. "Goodnight Roger" Maggie said. "Goodnight Maggie" Roger replied. As the two fell asleep, they were awaken from an eerie sound that frightened and forced them out of their sleep. "Maggie.. Did you hear that?" Roger asked. "Yeah.. That was the noise i was hearing earlier" Maggie said. "Oh man its horrible, lets go see what it is." Roger insisted. "Maybe that's not such a good idea.. We don't know what it is" Maggie said. "True but we'll never get any sleep if it continues" Roger implied. "Yeah. You're right, alright lets go check it out i guess" Maggie said.

The two kids went down into the dark to figure out what the startling noise was. "Hey.. Hit the light will ya" Roger suggested. "I did, they're not working" Maggie said. "Is the power out or something" Roger asked. Maggie looked out the window. "The whole neighborhood is dark" Maggie said. "Great.. Flashlights?" Asked Roger. "Yeah upstairs" Maggie said. " fine wait here ill get them" Roger implied.

He went upstairs to find some light. "Man it is dark in here" Roger said to himself. "The noise is getting louder too.. God its so horrifying and drastic.".. Roger went into his parents room and found a small flashlight. "Aha this'll do it" Roger said with excitement.  He then heard a scream from downstairs which sounded like his sister, he immediately ran downstairs to find out what she has been screaming about. " WHAT HAPPEN" Roger yelled. Maggie then pointed at a dark figure in the corner with bright white eyes..it then disappeared.

"What was that thing?" Maggie asked scared. "I don't know but all i do know is that we're not alone in this house anymore" Roger said frightened. The kids then heard a crash and a scream from the basement. They headed to the basement door and stared at it. "I really don't want to go in there" Maggie said. "Well we have to make this thing go away somehow" Roger said. "Fine, you first since you have the light" Maggie insisted. Roger opened the door and the two slowly made their way downstairs.

Worried and frightened. Every step they look was a living nightmare for them. "The Basement light isn't working either" Maggie said. "Perfect.. Just our luck. Stay close" Roger said. The sound kept getting louder until it stopped. 

" AAH" Maggie screamed as something dragged her back upstairs and slammed the door shut. " MAGGIE!!!" Roger scream chasing after her. When he went upstairs he shined the flashlight, finding a horrible amount of blood on the floor leading upstairs and into his bedroom.

He opened the door to find his sister drenched  in her own blood.. The figure that they saw earlier was behind him and a heavy, menacing voice overcame him. "This is only the beginning Roger.."- voice. The intruder grabbed Roger and began choking him until.... Roger woke up from his horrible nightmare.
