When You Run Away From Home (on hold)

Chapter 11

Jamie's POV:

I was panicking not knowing what to do. Logan's going to die if I don't help. God John is going to shoot. JUMP! I think as I sprint on John. He pulls the trigger shooting Logan in the leg. I'm on John so I grab the gun and his arm and place the gun on his arm. I look him dead in the eye.

"Not going to miss , am I?", I say. I pull the safety then the trigger. He yells in pain. I get up and kick him.

"Leave", I say.

"Jamie-'',He begins.

"LEAVE!", I yell shooting my gun hitting a tree. This scares him and he runs off.

"YOUR GOING TO REGRET IT!", he yells. Whatever.

I get up and run to Logan. "Logan I-I'm sorry. Oh my gosh Logan. I need to call the ambulance. Where's your phone?", I say shaking.

He groans and hands it to me. I press emergency call.

"This is 911, what is your emergency?", the lady said.

"HELLO, please help m-my boyfriend's been shot I'm in the woods off the 8 freeway. I don't know exactly where in the woods just please come", I say as I hang up. Tears are now falling from my eyes.  Wait, Did I just call Logan my boyfriend?

I am at the hospital. Logan just had surgery done to get the bullet out. The doctor said he will wake up soon. He also said that Logan won't be able to run anymore. Great. The doctor comes out with a clipboard.

"He's awake, but go easy on him.", he says sincerely.

I nod and follow the doctor to his room.

When I walk in I hear a steady beep. I look at him and he is smiling tiredly at me. " Hey", I say.

"Hey Jay", he says. Aw he nick named me  Jay.

"How ya feeling"

"hungry"

"You want me to get you some food"

"Yes please"

I get up and he touches my hand with a phone in his hand. He whispers.

"Take it. If they come press this button and fight back, K jay", he says now looking dead serious. I hesitantly took it and nodded.

"K",  respond. They are coming for me. This just got real.

I walked out into the main room. I see a snack bar and head over. I see a girl with a pea coat on. She has long light brown hair, dark eyes. She looks friendly. I start to grab food and put in on a plate

"Hey" she says. I give a little wave and say "I'm Jay".

"Kate", she responds.

"Who are you hear for?", I ask

"My granny and you?"

"My boyfriend", I respond. UGH I SAID IT AGAIN.

" I see. you wanna sit?", she asks.Um I should go to Logan. But- "beep beep", the phone goes off. It says there's a new message.

"One sec" I say. She tries to touch the phone but I pull back. What's her problem.

I look and it's a picture of the girl and under it says. KILL: ASSASSIN. Dear Lord I'm going to die. She's an assassin.

I look back up and she has a gun pointed at me. Every one in the room is gone. I kick her in the stomach, drop the food, and grab Logan's gun and shoot her. Two people in one day Jamie. I have shot two people. She lies on the floor motionless. I killed her. I shoot her again just to make sure.

Definitely dead.

 I run to Logan's room and toss the gun at him. I look at him dead in the eye furious.

 I show him the phone screen.

"Logan, what is going on."
