Pentatonix had just been asked to perform at an orphanage for their homeless fans.
It's kind of like 'wish upon a star' only these children don't have disabilities.
They were really excited about meeting the fans. All of their fans always have a disappointing or heartbreaking story and this American a Capella band always end up being the reason they're happy now.
Scott, Mitch, Kirstie, Avi and Kevin all love to hear how much impact they've had on people's lives. It makes this job of theirs so much more meaningful.
As they piled on to the bus they were taking, Scott was saying goodbye to his boyfriend Alex.
"Babe don't worry, I won't be too long. I'm literally gonna be going to this one gig and Mitch and I will be back once we're done."
"I know, but I just miss you so much when you're gone and I don't like the feeling of missing you. I feel so lonely."
"Hun, you won't be lonely. There's literally a dozen people that live in our apartment. It's just one day. I promise."
"Okay babe, see you tonight."
Scott gave his boyfriend a kiss before boarding the bus.
Mitch watched everything happen and couldn't help but feel slightly jealous of their relationship.
He didn't know whether he had feelings for Scott, feelings for Alex or just genuinely wants a boyfriend that bad.
Either way, he never liked seeing Scott and Alex so cute and coupley.
As Scott walked towards the back of the bus to sit next to Mitch, he saw Mitch frowning and looking out of the window.
"What's up Mitchie?" Scott asked as he was taking his seat.
Mitch jumped at the sound of Scott's voice. He frowned when he saw Scott smiling. Scott was only smiling to cheer him up. Once Scott had seen the look on his face, he too started frowning, more with concern than sadness.
This made Mitch smile a little inside. Scot genuinely cared for his best friend.
Okay... Let's fill you in.
Mitch has felt like Scott has gotten a little distant ever since Alex moved in. They would film Superfruit but that's pretty much the only time they get together now. Even when filming, Alex is stood behind the camera and watching them film.
He feels like Alex has gotten a little too clingy to Scott.
Don't get him wrong, he loves Alex to bits and Alex is one of his best friends as well. However he wishes him and Scott could even get two seconds alone without Alex even being brought up in a conversation.
Back to present time.
The reason why Mitch was confused of his feelings had just hit him.
Scott was his best friend and he might be falling for him. Alex is very attractive and him and Mitch have gotten quite close when Scott's not around, so he could be falling for Alex. Or it's just the fact that he really wants what Scott and Alex have. No matter what it is, Mitch was jealous.
All his thoughts of this were inturupted by Kirstie squealing out some sentence.
"I'm sorry, repeat that?" Mitch said and asked in a way.
Kirstie sighed and rolled her eyes.
"I said... I can't wait to meet all these orphans! Just imagine how much better their lives will be!"
Avi and Kevin agreed with her.
"Yeah, I mean, they've suffered enough, it's time for them to get a treat." Kevin said with a chill tone.
"I dunno, if they start crying I'm sure it'll be happy tears, but if they're crying and I'm surrounded by the atmosphere of why we're there... Then I don't think I'll be able to handle it." Avi's deep voice broke out.
Scott laughed.
"What's funny?" Avi asked a little annoyed at Scott laughing.
"It's just... You're probably the manliest one out of all of us and yet you say the softest things... The irony!"
Mitch let out a small giggle when Scott said that. He partially giggled because it was funny. However he mainly giggled because it was the cutest and sweetest sound that he can make, after his singing voice of course.
Mitch's giggles always make Scott smile because it shows him that his best friend is in a good mood.
The rest of the way, the band laughed, joked and played games, plus rehearsing.
Mitch almost broke down when his voice cracked because it hadn't happened for ages and he has never really made a mistake whilst singing after that.
Scott felt there was no need for Mitch to cry. He's always loved Mitch's voice and no matter what happens, he always sounds good.
He could have a cold with an egg stuck in his throat and bubbles floating around the egg whilst he forgot all the words and Scott would still believe there's a talented and beautiful voice in there.
After a few hours of road trip, they finally made it to the orphanage.
The band get off the buss with big smiles, ready to see their homeless fans who deserve this and ready to perform.
They walk in and instantly there were screaming fans. All the fans end up running towards them.
They were a little startled at first. However they ended up getting pictures with all of them as well as giving out hugs.
After performing the band decided to meet some of the fans properly.
Everyone was going towards Scott as the lead singer, Kirstie as the caring girl, Avi as the dad they never had and Kevin as the one who can put a smile on your face no matter the situation. This made Mitch feel a little left out.
As the other four said hello to different fans, Mitch scanned the room.
He took a double take to a chair with a little girl sat in it. She looked sad and she had a star shaped cage in her hands.
He walked over to her.
A/N this story and my other one 'Stare' I'll try to update as much ad possible. However with college I won't be able to update as much on Mon Tue n Wed.
I'll update both stories on the same day and depending on whether I have an amazing idea and the time, I may do double or even triple updates.
