It took Eren three days to stop yelling at the guards and struggling every time anyone entered his cell. He was harsh and mean ever since his small taste at freedom. The inkling of hope that he had for the Captain had diminished since that nights events. Levi came every night to make sure he ate but never said anything and shut the light off every night.
On the fourth night, Eren's arms were unshackled and he was allowed to sit up. Levi sat across from him with a stern expression. He stood and paced the room, tossing his short hair back with his long fingers. Eren focused on the bed sheets as the Captain thought.
"Are you going to stay mad, brat?" The Captain suddenly spouted. He had stopped pacing and stood at the foot of Eren's bed, staring blankly at the younger boy.
"You son of a bitch!" Eren barked,"I hate you! Why are you doing this?!"
Levi scrunched up his face in a scowl and started towards the head of Eren's bed. Eren flinched and Levi glared at him before placing a soft hand on Eren's cheek.
"I told Hanji not to touch you again. I- The Commander approved my request to investigate you usefulness in the field," Levi said in a breathy voice before pulling away. He turned to the tray of bread, meat, an apple and water and placed it on Eren's lap. After a moment, once Eren started to eat, Levi pulled his chair over and sat down, legs crossed and eyes fixed on the titan.
"Wait," Eren said between bites,"Like, as in fighting?"
"Yeah, dim wit," Levi responded, stealing Eren's apple, polishing it before taking a bite. His face scrunched in distaste before placing the fruit back on the tray.
"So I get to go outside? Will you be training me? Do I get to kill those damn monsters?" Eren said, his eyes lit up with hope. Levi looked at him for a moment before glancing away towards the cell door.
"Yes, you get to go out. I'll be there to put you down if you loose control and no you won't be fighting the enemy, yet," Levi said as Eren thought to himself. "Oh, and brat?"
"Uh, yes Captain Levi?"
"Didn't I tell you to always call me sir?"
Eren paled for a moment before shrink into the headboard. "Yes, sir," he whispered fearfully.
Levi smirked and took Eren's half eaten dinner away. "No breakfast tomorrow, and I'll punish you that night, monster. I'll be sure you don't forget the rules!" Levi said before dumping the food in the bin and stomping out of the cell, leaving the light on so Eren would have trouble sleeping.

Levi: So what? The brat needs to learn his lesson.
Me: Yeah but I know you like how he smiled when you told him the good news.
Levi: ...
Me: Oh, tell the readers about updates.
Levi: You'll have your updates in November, the author apologizes for this one being short. Okay?
Me: That'll do Levi, that'll do.
