Isabella's POV

A year later

I wish I could say everything was great, I really did but that would be an absolute lie.

After the first week I was expecting Ian to come back and apologize.

Of course I would never completely forgive him but I did want to make a mends. I didn't want to live the rest of my life hating my mate.

So I decided that if he came and apologized I would have accepted his friendship.

We could even have some kind of nice friendship.

I didn't want anything romantic to happen between us.

I wanted closure.

The things is he never came.

He never apologized and after a year of waiting I realized I shouldn't be waiting for a guy to apologize so I can be happy.

Today, I was going to finally let go.

I was going to get on with my life.

Now don't get me wrong, I wasn't moping around and crying all day.

I've just been detached and kind of a bitch to everyone.

Unlike Ian, my sister has apologized.

She has apologized more times than I can remember.

The problem with her, is that although it isn't fair.

I feel more resentment towards her.

She knew I was against her sleeping around. And she kept doing it which resulted in her sleeping with my mate.

But what made me angry.

What made my blood boil was that she found her mate.

She found her other half.

After destroying any chance of me being with my mate, she found hers.

And now she was happy.

I wasn't.

I wanted to be happy.

Even though deep inside I resented her, I tried not to show it.

I tried so hard to pretend like nothing happened.

But she made it so awkward.

She would literally act as if I was about to explode any seconds.

Everything I said, she agreed with, she would randomly apologize and I hated her.

I could hardly stand to be in her presence, she was that annoying.

I just needed space.

The whole situation was hilarious.

Gabriella wasn't giving me enough space and Ian was giving me too much.

There was one way of escaping this whole situation.

"I'm going to college" I say, taking a bite of my pasta.

My father's eyes widen "What? Why?" He asks.

It wasn't usual for a werewolf to go to college.

Werewolves found their mates at 16 then when they graduate high school they move to the pack village where you get a job and responsibilities that all contribute to helping the pack.
