Chapter 1

~12 Years Later~

7:00 AM

On a early crisp and calming morning, Ahiru woke up from her personal maid. So before Ahiru was about to go to bed her maid told her a little lie in her calm voice, "Ahiru, you're going to be late for the first day."

Ahiru then perked up and grabbed her clothes from her maid.

"Ahiru, I can help you dress up." She said as Ahiru went to the bathroom to put on her uniform on and wash herself up.

"No Thanks Edel!" Slightly yelling to make sure Edel can hear her,"But! I Need To Go! Or Else I'll Miss The Ceremony Opening-"

"Ahiru."

"Then I Might Get The Attention From The Others-A-and!--"

"AHiru."

"Then Pike And Lillie Will Tease Me! And!--" She continued as she was quickly walking to the Dining Room, passing by a few of the servants there bowing slightly to her while smiling and giggling.

Ahiru saw the food on the table so she sat down and quickly chewed but made sure she didn't choke. Edel then walked in and stood next to Ahiru in a good distance of space, she stayed calm with a smile, watching Ahiru eat quickly but clumsy as she is, she choked a bit. Edel then quickly went toward Ahiru and patted her back. Ahiru's hand in a fist, hitting her chest lightly so she could breath.

She coughed a bit and looked at Edel, Ahiru was about to thank her until she saw the clock behind Edel,"Hey...I'm not late! Phew!" She sighed, but then she quickly figured out, "Hey!" She whined at Edel, "Edel, why did you lie... Why?"

Ahiru looked at Edel in confusion while Edel giggled, "Well, you told me to wake you up early, so you have time to get ready and eat. But you didn't wake up, and I did try to get your attention."

She smiled calmly at Ahiru with a smile, "Oooh!"

Ahiru smiled, "That's right! I remember now!" She giggled.

Ahiru needed to wake around 6:30 AM, but her high school started at 8:00 AM. She wanted to get there so she wouldn't be late like in her middle school years. Of course she had a reason though. She would of gotten in trouble but since she was rich and alone, many other people and the rich would try to get her attention. Ahiru knew because she had seen a terrible scene of falseness, but that's will be told later on.

Knowing that Ahiru wasn't late, she decided to see the servants and say good morning. Leaving the table that now has no food on the plates, Ahiru tried to deny Edel's help of cleaning up but Edel won.

Ahiru walked out of the Dining Room and into the hallway, there she sees a butler, flattened to the back, dark blue hair headed boy, with a scar crossed on his right eye which had that eye closed, taller than her but one younger than her, walking in the hallway holding a gray feather duster.

The dark blue headed boy saw Ahiru, "Miss Ahiru! Good morning! How was it getting up?"

He slightly smirked at Ahiru.

"Hey!" Ahiru said with a blush on her face, "I forgot okay! It's not like I'm the only one who would forget to wake up Kale!"

He laughed, "Okay, okay! But you rushing made the other maids giggle too. "Ahiru then blushed more like a pinkish strawberry, while Kale smiled and dusted the dusty picture of Ahiru's family.

Ahiru looked at what he was dusting then Kale finally noticed, "Oh! Sorry Ahiru! I-I--"

"It's okay Kale.." She interrupted, "It's okay." She smiled sadly.

Kale was looking at her with his green eye that had sadness and shame but continued dusting.

There was a few second pause of awkwardness until, "MISS AHIRU! Good morning!" A girl yelled, who was 3 years younger, with happiness.

Ahiru gasped, "That's right!" Kale and the maid who yelled looked at her confused as she slowly walked toward Ahiru and Kale, "I forgot to say 'Good morning' to you Kale!"

The girl who yelled, giggled and had to bend her head down because of Ahiru's innocence.

Seeing her head slightly down, her red hair head was visible to see that she had two buns on her head, covered with a stretchable swirl of black and white covers so that pieces of her hair wouldn't fall down on the floor.

"A-and Good morning to you too, Sammy!"

Sammy then stopped giggling and looked at Ahiru with happiness, "Good morning to you too, Ahiru!"

Ahiru smiled and looked at Sammy and Kale, her smiling slowly goes, "Why do you guys add in Miss?...In front of my name?" The two servants looked at each other and then to Ahiru, smiling, "Because you saved us, so did your parents." They said in unison.

She was about to say until she heard the clock chimed 7:00 AM, then the doorbell rang DIING DOONG DIIIING!

"I go--"

"I'll get it, Ahiru!" Chimed Sammy, as Sammy was quickly walking, Ahiru followed the quick maid to the main door.

Sammy got to the door but stopped to check any messy look on herself to see that she had none, she sighed in relief and opened the door to see a happy blonde, two horse tail girl, both horse hair spiraled down to her shoulders. Another girl next to the blonde had magenta hair tied in a simple bun with two clips hold her bangs back.

"GOOOD MORNING AHIRU!" The blonde girl said, as she hugged Ahiru almost to death.

"Good...ugh--mor--morn-ng.. L--illie..can't.."

"LILLIE! AHIRU CAN'T BREATH!" The magenta haired girl screamed.

"What?" Lillie looked down at Ahiru, who was turning almost purple, "Oh dear! I was trying to make her awake!"

"Well, you were trying to put her to sleep!" The magenta girl mumbled.

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING! I'M BEING A GOOD FRIEND AND I'M KEEPING HER ALIVE! At least!" Lillie smiled innocently.

"Wooo-Heee-Wooo-Heee!" Ahiru breathed then sighed with a smile while cupping her back neck, "Good morning to you too, Pike."

Pike put her hand to her side, "Same Ahiru!" She said with a little smile.

Lillie looked at Ahiru then to Pike when they greeted each other, she got a bit jealous and was about to whine until Kale came in, "Would you ladies like to come in to have a drink?" He said with a smile.

Pike blushed and Lillie of course dreamily said, "Of Course Kale!"

They went inside to see Edel, eyes closed, in front of the Dining Room, "Ahiru, would you like me to get drinks for your friends here? You still have time."

"Okay Edel! Thank you!"

Edel left to the kitchen to get coffee for them while Ahiru, Pike, Lille, Sammy, and Kale went inside the Dining Room.

Ahiru made herself comfortable while her friends got special treatment from the other two servants, Kale and Sammy. As they got comfortable, they talked about what they wanted to do this year, joining clubs, etc, etc, for more than 10 min. Then Edel came in and apologize about the delay, and gave them the coffee. Ahiru put lots of honey in it, with whipped cream. Lillie added 3 cubes of sugar and Pike just had it like that but put whipped cream on it. They enjoyed their coffee and talked for more than 20 minutes until 7:30 AM.

Kale had to remind them, the three then got up to go to school by walking.

But it turns out there was a normal black used car for the common, in front of the gate of Ahiru's wealthy house. Ahiru tried to reject the offer from her personal driver, who was around his 30's, called Cabby. He drove this family ever since in his teen, for job and to run away from his family. Cabby convinced Ahiru, Lillie and Pike were already in the car. Once Ahiru got in and got comfortable and seatbelted, Cabby drove them to their new high school life.

As Cabby drove them off to the three girls' new high school life, inside the house, in the Living Room looking out the window was Edel. She was looking out the window with a dull stare but those dull eyes had a hint of fear.
