I'm already dead (One Piece fanfic)

Chapter 7

"Bepo, is there a forbidden place in the island where no villager is allowed to go?" Law asked. 

Bepo thought for a while and answered "There is this black colored mansion in the center of the forest. It was called 'Pupil' but they changed it to 'God's House'. 'Bingo'

"What about it, Captain?" He asked. "Nothing," said Law, "since we already have our supplies we should just go and ask how long the Log Pose will take. Me, Rin, Shachi and Penguin are going. Bepo and Jean stay here."

"Aye, Captain!" Everyone except Rin shouted cheerfully. "Rin?" Law asked. "Sure, Captain," she answered.

According to the plan they headed out. Law and Rin can ask around so Shachi and Penguin could do whatever they wanted except getting into trouble. "Hey, Miss," Law called out to a lady as he entered the town square. "Yes, how many I help you? Or perhaps, are you two new here?" she asked.

"We're pirates.  We wanted to know how long it would take for the Log Pose to set," He asked. "Hm, about 12 hours," she said with a smile, "till then you can enjoy our local bars and stay for the night if you'd like. This town isn't really scared of pirates so you can enjoy your stay here."

Law gave a "thank you," and started walking away with Rin. "Hey!" there was a shout from behind them. He looked back. "Take care of her will you?" she shouted loud enough so both Law and Rin could hear, "she looks like she needs extreme care!!"

Law nodded and turned, walking away. 'Now that's obvious isn't it?' thought Law 'Anyone can tell from her face she's been through something. I wonder wha- I can just ask her can't I?' "Hey, Rin?" Law said looking at her. "Yes, Law?" she answered not shifting her gaze from the street in front of her.

"Would you tell me about your past if I asked you?" Law asked cautiously. "I can't refuse a command," she replied, "do you want to know?" Without thinking Law quickly replied ,"No" and kept walking. '

'Wait, why did I just answer no? Didn't I want to know? No no, just asking her like that can bring back painful memories. I think I'd rather figure it out myself somehow without making her remember it, or at least wait for a bit till she gets comfortable with the ship.'  he thought. 

They headed to a local bar as they had nothing else to do. Law opened the door and went in. He turned to Rin who was still standing outside and said, "Oi, Rin, come in." She just stood there gazing at the road in front of her without even looking at Law. She was denying a command. "I'll....be back in a few" she said and started running to the direction she was looking at. "Hey, wait for me!!" Law shouted as he followed her, coming out of the bar. She's not really that fast but they were a lot of people so it was hard to run and keep an eye on her for Law.

He kept running but soon lost sight of her in the crowd. However a few seconds later there was a shout. A very familiar shout for Law -that of Shachi. Just after his shout came the shouts and squeaks of others. Law ran through the crowd of horrific expressions. "Move it!!!" he shouted as I pushed through the people of the town.

Law finally reached the center. He took a moment to lay in shock, eyes wide at the scenario in front of him and the pool of red blood on the ground.
