I watch the window as the rain droplets cascade down, desperately waiting for Mrs. Evans to shut up about maths. I wish someone told her that no one cares! I feel a damp paper ball bombard into the back of my neck, making me jump a little. I turn slightly to see my best friend Riley pointing to the clock.
"Oi Olli look, only five minutes left"
"Thank fuck for that" I whisper to her, turning back quickly before the wicked witch of the West catches me.
The bell finally went after five long, painful minutes. I'm actually surprised I didn't smash my head hard enough on the scratched up desk. Riley and I dodge past the diverse hormonal teens, trying not to bash anybody with our bags. After a long enough journey, we get to our private area, every group has one. We sit and eat lunch talking about our day so far.
"Oh my God. Guess who I had the best view of in Psychology." I say smiling like an idiot.
"Alfie?" Riley exhales as if she knows what I'll say.
"Come on Olli, you see him every Tuesday playing football, I've heard this for the past like... 5 weeks now.""You find him beautiful too. Admit it. Go on." I say mockingly.
Riley giggles before smiling, trying not to mention the truth. She does though. Everybody does, I mean who couldn't? He is the most beautiful, gorgeous, handsome son of a bitch. Everybody wants to be him, or his girlfriend, Abi. They're goals.
"So in other news, my drama teacher decided to take my groups piece to the semi-finals!"
"Riley! That's amazing! Girl I'm so proud of you. You've worked so hard for this"
"Thank you! It actually means so much. I cried for two hours straight, through fourth period." She says, waving her hands manically in the frosty October air.
The sky turns darker as thunder sounds. The light rain falling like leaves dropping from the trees in Autumn. The bell rings just as soon as lightening appears. We walk back through the farsighted corridors of the actual building of hell, strolling towards our last period whilst feeling as if we are standing out among the crowd as the two timid teens who no one actually knows. The drama geek and the gay kid. That's us, I guess.
