Still the One (Liam Payne/One Direction)

Prologue

Urgh school, the worst days of my week. Well except from i get to hang out with my best friend Hannah again, I didn't get to see her at all in the holidays as she was in France for the whole 6 fucking weeks, while i had to stay behind in dreary, wet England. Not the best summer british weather provided us. Not that the wet weather bothered me as i am in the pool half the time. I don't think i mentioned that i do swimming training, i have always wante to be an olympic athlete, i didn't actually care what sport i did. I just liked the idea of being able to compete internationally and represent my own country. I am a very sporty person in and out of school. If my friends can't find me they know i will be doing something sporty somewhere.

I was clicked out of my thoughts when my older brother Nate throws a pillow at me and it hits me across the head.

"Oi what the fuck was that for!?" i shouted at him hitting him with my pillow as i shout insults at him.

"Okay stop. Hannah is here and you slept in!" he teases as he starts to run off.

"No i didn't its only half 5" i look at my clock to see the numbers 7:30 glaring at me.

"SHIT! I AM TWO FUCKING OURS LATE NATE! COACH IS GONNA KILL ME TONIGHT WHEN I GO TRAINING! WHY DID YOU NOT WAKE ME UP EARLIER YOU ASSHOLE!" i screamed as i was rushing around putting my swimming stuff in my bag and sorting out my school uniform. Ed is gonna kill me when i have training later. I missed the first morning session back after he gave me two weeks off. Fuck! i grab my lunch box that my brother had kindly made me. Which is probably the only nice thing he does for me.

"Hey H" i turn around to see my best friend standing at my front door.

"Oh my god, i have missed you! never go away for the whole summer again!" i pulled her into a hug. She may be a year younger then me but she is still the best friend ever.

"I have missed you too, i see some things havent changed, i wondered why you wasnt at training today" she said with a smirk on her face.

"Don't even get me started! Come on lets get to school you dweeb" i said smiling. She sure hasnt changed at all.

"Bye Nate!" We shout in unsion.

~~~~~3 hours later~~~~~~

Me, Hannah and our friend El were sat in the dinner hall eating our lunch, we were just staring at him and gossiping about how fit he was (Well the other two were). Everyone was crowded around him because he was part of the 'popular crowd. All girls were drooling over him like a sex god and all guys wanted to be him. We were just about to stash the rest of our dinners and take our drinks outside when him and the rest of his crowd came to sit at our table. Hannah nearly freaked out when Liam sat next to her, I actually think she fangirled a bit like he was her idol, which of course me and El found incredibly funny. You see Hannah has a huge crush on Liam but she doesn't know that me and Liam used to be best friends back in primary school. He was close to me for a bit in year 7 then one day he just ditched me for no reason. I haven't spoke to him since, and i dont plan on talking to ever again. If i told her she would flip out on me for not telling her, but HE had to go ruin that secret.

I managed to convince Hannah and El to get up with me and go, but just as i stood up to go, thats when Liam had to say something, like he had never been ignoring me for all these years.

"Hannah, my mum was wandering when she was going to see you again because you haven't been in ages, she thinks we have fallen out and she said bring your parents with you as well!"

When he said that i almost wanted to slap him but i couldn't bring myself to do it. I looked next to me to see Hannah running off with the look of betrayal on her face, I looked to the other side of me to see El running off after her to see if she was alright.

"Liam!Why the hell are you speaking to me now, you haven't spoken to me since Year fucking 7! thats 7 years u havent spoken to me in! You obviously don't know what has happened in my life. I HATE YOU LIAM PAYNE! Don't bother trying to come near me again" My voice cracks as i said that. i could feel the tears building up in my eyes. I ran off before anyone could say anything. He didn't know that my parents died in a freak accident When i was 13 when i needed him the most. Since then my older brother has been looking after me. He was the one who made me carry on my dream of being an olympian because mum and dad would have wanted it that way. Thank God that was the last time i saw Liam Payne! or so i thought......
