Chapter 10: Frozen Sweets and Not-So-Sweets

*KATIE*

The midnight-haired girl looked at him in disbelief. Tonight?! Katie stuttered, "U-uh, how about frozen yogurt? Something simple."

The boy nods 'I like it', and texts his mystery friends. A ding later sounds from his mobile device as a member responds. Soon all of them have answered with a 'sure' or a 'sounds good.'

"And there you shall meet my brothers."

Katie's mouth was pulled back into a bright pearly-white smile as her heart raced with excitement. This was so cool!

The two dark-haired teens awaited for lunch to come. In the meantime, they watched some movies, K-Dramas (where Katie swooned at the guys making Jungkook a tad jealous), and read some more of Katie's books. Soon the clock read 11:49 am and off they headed to the nearest Orange Leaf they could find for all of them to meet up. Apparently, they weren't the first to arrive as the couple saw two boyish teens with their froyo laughing up a storm, probably over their boyish antics, at a table.

Jungkook and Katie neared the table and Katie saw exactly what was making the two other males laugh so hysterically. One of the guys with dirty blonde-brunette hair was doing something weird with his hands while making a weird face. He looked like an alien from outer space. The other had smooth dark chocolate-colored hair and owned two crescent moon eye smiles whenever he laughed, but then replaced is happy smile with a really weird creeper-predator look. These were Jungkook's friends? Ok then...

"Hey guys, I want you to meet my old friend's friend, Katie," Jungkook said as he brought the girl to his side. The guys sitting down looked up at her, who had a bright smile on her face excited to meet new people, and looked at her figure. One of them, the blonde alien, looked Katie up and down with a blank face; the creeper guy grew a smile and nudged the other with a smirk.

Jimin looked at the girl wide-eyed (which really isn't much different than his normal eyes) and stepped closer to her.

"Jungkook, who is this? You better not have gotten yourself a girlfriend!" Jimin gasped.

How could Jungkook do this to him?!

With Katie's new close proximity of Jimin, she got a better look at him. He was a bit buffer than previously thought, clearly from his sleeveless black shirt and plump lips also. He had a caring and playful aura around him that made you want to jump in puddles with him whenever it rained. Katie was becoming interested...

"No Jiminnie, this is Katie. She's a friend of my other friend's."

"Oh, is she Merci's friend?"

Jungkook nods as the other members' eyes widen, nods and have their eyebrows raised in Ooo's and Ahh's.

"We've been hanging out for the past two days. Said girl ditched me for a date-"

"MERCI GOT A WHAT???"

The guys then started to laugh and shout like gorillas. They seemed like idiots for sure...

"Anyways, we got to hang out at the movies, then the storm blew over, I had to sleep over and yeah"

Jimin got wide-eyed at the mention of 'sleep over.'

"SLEEP OVER? With a girl?! You better not have done anything Jeon Jungkook!" the shorter male scolds, frowning at the younger one with an 'are you crazy?!' sort of look.

The blank-faced one had caught on and started 'oohing' like that cat from the Puss in Boots movie.

"No Jimin! We didn't do ANYTHING like that! We just read some books and told stories! NOTHING like THAT happened!" Katie exclaimed with an exasperated tone. She smiled meekly trying to convince the older one that they were just friends and nothing happened that night.

"I'm watching you..." Jimin chimed in with the hand motion of what he just said then laughed. Katie laughed nervously. If this were an anime, a sweat drop would have definitely appeared on her head.

Jungkook leaned in to Katie's ear, "don't worry he's just joking." Although his action left the girl with a dusting of pink on her cheeks.

"Aren't we here for frozen yogurt?" Katie said trying to get the topic to change. The guys looked at each other and nodded, heading for the bowls and dispensers that held the delicious treat.
