Ring Ring Ring.....

"Ugh... stupid alarm!"

"What happened?" asked Piper's mom, Annie.

Piper's mom heard a loud noise come from in Piper's room. All Piper's mom was doing was making Piper a mickey mouse shaped pancake with actual details. (Piper's mom did go to cooking school.)

"Oh it was nothing just my alarm clock getting whacked off my bedside table."

"Ok if you say so."

Piper grabbed a fall-ish outfit from her closet. It was a jean button up top, solid black leggings, brown combat boots, and to top it off, a dark gray infinity scarf.

"Perfect," Piper thought to herself. It was a Friday, her and her best friend Riley were going shopping after school. Piper opened her dresser drawer and pulled out her wallet. Exactly $3. That wasn't gonna work. Piper walked across her room to her ballet pink piggy bank and pulled out a $100 bill. That would do.

Piper ran downstairs to grab a bite to eat. Her 12 year old brother Dylan was eating a blueberry muffin and what was left of the mickey mouse pancake, which was drenched in syrup.

"Dylan did you leave me a pancake?"

"Maybe."

"Dylan!" Piper sprinted to the kitchen and found one last pancake. She devoured it in seconds and ran to the living room. She grabbed her Vera Bradley backpack and ran outside to the bus. She climbed on and grabbed a the one seater. She pulled her earbuds out of her bag and listened to music on the ride to school.

Riley got on the bus a few stops after Piper.

"Piper! Are you excited for today? What about your 17th birthday next Friday?"

"Of course!" Piper pulled off her scarf and brushed it off, crunching leaf bits falling to the wet ground of the bus. At that time, as Piper put her scarf back on, Katy Hanks struts onto the bus in a white short sleeve shirt that says 'meow' in a small font, solid black. She has on bleached jeans and black bulky boots. To top it off, she has black circle sunglasses atop her head. Katy is classified as the "popular girl" in school. Katy was super mean to anyone that wasn't popular. Katy's best friend's name is Lindsay. Katy has blue eyes and blonde hair which she tied up in a high messy bun. Lindsay has green eyes, blonde hair, which is dirty blonde that is just a little darker than Katy's. 2 stops later, Lindsay steps onto the bus. Her hair was in a side braid, she had a navy blue Vineyard Vines shirt and bleached jeans. She was wearing tan Uggs.

As she walked past Piper she threw a piece of paper at Piper. Lindsay sat down with Katy and they laughed at Piper's reaction. Piper just shrugged it off but Riley was annoyed.

"You can't just do that!" Riley was so frustrated that Piper had to pull her into her seat.

"It's fine, really Riley. Don't worry about it, I don't care."

"It matters! It isn't fair!"

The bell rings. As Piper goes to her locker, Riley runs up to her and squeals.

"Eeeekkkk! I'm so excited!"

"Calm down Smiley Riley, I'm excited too."

"I can't I'm too excited eee! Well I got to go to my locker, meet me at the front door."

Riley ran off happily. Piper pulled her bag out of her locker and shoved her stack of books in the untidy locker. As Piper's mother would say, her locker was a pig sty. Piper slung her Vera Bradley backpack over her right shoulder and trudged to the front door where she would wait for Riley.
