*DANNYS POV*
It wasn't something anyone could have prevented... It didn't matter what I said or did. Maddie was going to be upset. I was going to be upset. I didn't want to see or talk to anyone but Maddie. She was all I needed right now..she was all I wanted.
I decided I'd just go and shit with her. Maybe eventually we could talk about it but I wasn't going to push it. She needed time. We both did. We were both in a fragile state. But no doubt we needed eachother.
I walk up the stairs and into maddie's room. She wasn't doing anything. She was laying on her back with her hands at her sides, eyes looking at the ceiling. I didn't say anything. I walked to her and lay beside her. Like a magnet out hands intertwine. She sucks in a breath but doesn't say anything. I look at the ceiling to. The the answer to all this was written there but it wasn't. There was no answer. No solution. Only time.
We must have stared at the ceiling for hours before Maddie finally says "babe?" I jump alittle at her voice. Shaky but maddie. "Yes baby?" I ask turning my head to look at her. Tears stream from her blood shot eyes. She's still staring at the ceiling. "I'm sorry" she whispers. "Babe this isn't your fault" I say to her. "It is...it is Danny I did this...I was drinking! I drank and I killed it!" She shouts. I look at her startled. She sits up. "Danny I'm sorry!" She screams. I don't think. I wrap my arms around her and press my lips desperately to hers. I pull her ontop of me needing her. I let my hands roam all over her body as she slides her tongue into my mouth. Her hands tangle themselves into my curls and we kiss.
We pull away gasping for air. Maddie looks at me and I push the hair that's fallen in her face behind her ear. "I love you." I mutter to her. She nods. "I love you to" she says back. She tries to roll off of me but my arms lock and I hold her. "Don't leave." I beg. She nods and lays her head down on my chest. We soon fall asleep together.
*PAULS POV*
Taylor and I decided to leave maddie and Danny alone. They probably didn't want any sympathy. So we weren't going to bother them. Taylor looks at me from across the room. "You wanna maybe get something to eat?" She asks. "Pizza?" I ask her. She nods. I take out my phone and dial the number to the local pizza place and wait.
"Twenty minutes and it will be here." I say to her. She nods. I sit down next to her and pull her face to mine, pressing my lips to hers. She smiles into the kiss and I caress her cheek as we kiss gently. I pull away and kiss her nose making her giggle. I smile at her. I wish maddie and Danny were happy.
About twenty minutes later the doorbell rings and I take a twenty out of my pocket and jog to the door. I hand the money to the pizza guy, maybe three years older than myself. I take the pizza from him and nod "thanks man." I say before shutting the door and walking back to the living room where Taylor waits. "Eat up babe" I say to her as we both dig in.
