Bethany's Mom POV
"You! It's all your fault!!" I yell at Shandra. My face is wet with tears and red with anger. "Why didn't you go to the beach with them to supervise them, like a NORMAL PARENT! Instead my baby got kidnapped!"
"Calm yourself. We need to get through this together. There's no one to blame. Now lets talk to the witness." Says Roger, staring blatantly at his mobile.
I look over at Shandra. She is pale and looks sick. Her hair is a mess, and she obviously hasn't slept. Neither have I. I can't blame my best friend for the disappearance of our daughters. We may have had our troubles, but we have always been their for each other. Roger is right, we need to be a family and help each other, however possible.
"I'm sorry Shandra" I say giving her a hug. We stay interlocked in each others arms, crying on each others shoulder.

Witness POV
It was scary. I couldn't imagine losing a child. It would kill me if I lost Greg, my son. He's my pride and joy. I feel the need to help both these families with all the information I can give. I think of all the times I've had with Greg. Christmas, fishing trips, summer vacation, camping.... I love him.
Roger: where were you wen you first heard a girl scream?
Me: I was in the Boat and Bait Shop.
Roger: and....?
Me: oh right well I was in there and I heard a scream. The guy at the cash register didn't hear but I ran out, but I set the beeper off so I had to rush back in and pay quickly and then I ran back out and I saw a guy running really fast but I don't know if he had the girls. I found a hair band with hair on it though. But that's all I know.
Lady (I think she's one of the moms): thank you so much for your help. Can you describe the guy running?
Me: um he was really drunk looking, and had greasy brown hair. He was bigger and looked like he was in his mid-forties. That's all I got. I really hoped I helped just a little.
Other lady: well thank you. We will work with whatever he have.
We shook hands and that was it. With this much evidence they will probably find her in 50 years. I went home and called my son right away.

Stevie POV
In the morning I was awoken by him barging in.
"Come on, we're leaving."
I grabbed Bethy and pulled her out of the blanket.
"Can we wash up?" I ask, sounding as innocent as possible.
"Yeah but hurry up!"
We close the door and I whisper to her, "He's going take us in a car, and we have to comply with him. He will become less aggressive and more willing to free us. We have to maintain a trust."
"Come on girlies. were ganna be late."
For what?

An hour into the car drive, I decided to talk to him. I was in the passenger seat of an old red Jeep, and Bethy was in the back sleeping. Here goes nothing....
Me: what's your name?
I startle him with my words.
Him: Do you want to know the truth?
I think of this question for a while.
Me: Yes.
Him: my name is Jack.
He gives me an eerie smile. At first I think nothing of it. But then he says
Him: Jack Durnam.
Jack. Jack Durnman. The name that was written on my notebook tons of times. Mrs. Durnman. Jack and Stevie. The Durnmns.
Me: How?
Jack: it's not hard to create a Facebook account.
Me: but why me? Why us?!
Jack: well, it's all your little friends fault. She friended me and told me about you. I made the profile to find a wife, and here you are. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of yah little friend.....
This man disgusts me. Will he do Bethany, and me. I need to get out. And fast.
Me: What are you going to do to her!
Jack: I really don't know! I'll figure something out....
And our conversation ended just like that. On the road we got closer and closer to our next destination. Jack was getting more and more excited. You could tell in his facial expressions.
Finally arrived into a nice-looking neighborhood. Jack seemed extremely excited, a grin spreading across his face. We entered the driveway of a cute little home, one-story. He opened the car door for us and told us to keep our head down. We looked odd in the neighborhood, with our bruised arms and raggedy hair. We rang the doorbell and a guy opened the door. He led us in the shed, and threw a blanket. It was really cold and I was scared.
"It's going to be ok " Bethy says, trying to calm my nerves.
We try to sleep, but the coldness freezes us.
I wake up to Jack flinging the door open.
"Get up, now!" He shouts.
I hurriedly stand up, trying to shake Bethy awake. She won't budge.
"Come on Bethany!" I scream. "Wake up, please come on wake up!" I say, more to myself.
"Leave her, she's dead." He yells, turning towards the door.
I won't leave, I just won't. I know she's just sleeping, shocked by the cold.
"I can't leave, she's just sleeping! We can't leave!" I say shaking her more.
"Let me take her out of her misery!" He says, taking a pistol out of his holster.
"No!" I blubber.
A shot is heard.
I look over at Jack. He's grinning his evil grin.
"Now it's just you and me!" He says, storming out of there.
I lay my head on Bethy and cry.
