August 1st

Dear Diary,

The house across the street just went up for sale. I hope someone my age will move in. It would be nice to have a friend close to me since my other friend, Paige is almost an hour away. Even though we call and text every day, it's not the same as hanging out. If the girl across the street and I become good friends, that would be awesome! Every day we can hang out, do homework together, talk about boys, go skating, and - okay enough of that. I just got carried away. I don't even know who's moving in yet. That house is old and smelly. I'm sure no one will be in a rush to move in there.

September 1st

Dear Diary,

Sorry it's been a super long time since I last updated. I know, I suck, you don't need to tell me. It's just that nothing interesting has happened. UNTIL NOW! Finally the house across the street got sold and the new neighbors will be moving in this afternoon. Currently it's 6:00 AM. It's super early. I need to wake up this early for dance. I quit the Abby Lee Dance Company for a while (that's my studio name) but then Abby Lee Miller herself got arrested for fraud and it will be five years until she comes back. I... I don't want to talk about it. Gianna is my new teacher. I have always loved her. She has been here for a while, even when I was going to classes! Abby was super mean. I started showing early signs of depression, so I quit. Now Gianna lets us have lots of fun and is super nice. We win a lot more competitions now that Abby is out of the picture. ANYWAYS, I told you all of this because I will be at dance when the new neighbor is moving in. Once I get back from dance I will be going over and seeing who it is, just meeting him/her and hopefully making a new friend.
