The Blanket is about a blanket that is given to the grandfather by his son. Petey is his grandson. The dad has a girlfriend. The girlfriend told the dad that it is time for the grandfather to move out. Petey is not happy that his grandfather has to go to a nursuing home. The Dad Brought His Dad(Grandfather) a wool double sided blanket as a going away present. The dad's girlfriend isnt happy that the blanket cost so much. I feel as if the girlfriend doesn't like the grandfather. She always has something "smart" to say. I think she is just using the dad for his money. She is so controlling over the dad. She is making the grandfather move out of his home. And she doesn't even live there.Petey is so upset that he goes inside the house and gets a pair of scissors. He tells his dad to cut the blanket into two. His father asks why , and hey says so he can give him the other half when he gets old and it's time to go away.
