Spencer
It wasn't the best idea for a sort of first date but it was different right? She seemed like the kind of girl that liked to switch it up. I wonder if she would like to switch it up completely and date a werewolf. "Dude let's go," Stella snapped me out of my thoughts. Originally, the plan was for me to take Sage and her dogs to the park, but after I stupidly blabbed about Kerri going, all the girls wanted to come along for the ride. They couldn't stop going on and on about how I might, just maybe, have a potential mate.
There wasn't a specific way of telling your mate from a regular chick. There wasn't a moment where the world freezes over the first time you look into her eyes. At least that's not what happens to everyone for all I know. Finding and discovering mates is different for everyone. Hopefully, I'll get mine soon. My brother's girlfriend was getting annoyed with me because he won't say 'I do' until I have my life long partner. I feel really bad about it. Finding the girl that I'm destined to be with has not been a walk in the park.
"Hurry up," Stella was acting like it was her date we were going on.
"Chill, I'm comin Stell!" I played with my keys as I headed over to the front door. "Be back later Mom," I yelled. Yelling wasn't necessary, she would hace heard me whisper goodbye from miles away- one of the many perks of being half wolf.
Outside, the girls were piling into my Jeep. "Get in the car loser," Sage was throwing the insults. She does know that I can leave her here right? No, wait, sxratch that, I promised her I would take her and I'm known for keeping my promises and not making promises that I can't keep.
I got in the driver's seat of my forest green Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, starting it up, and checking all of my mirrors. "Seatbelt check!"
"We're all good," Sabrina notified. I nodded and drove out of the driveway and towards the beginning of the woods where I took a small trail to get to the main road. The ride to the dog park was filled with back-to-back questions about Kerri. What does she look like? Is she nice? How old is she? What pack is she from? I stomped on the gas pedal causing us to all jerk forward in our seats. And that my friends is why you wear a seatbelt. Talk about unexpected. I was pretty sure that I told them she was a human. Girls these days, they have a limited attention span and are too boy crazy to even attempt to pay attention to anything else that's not about Avi 'the hottest guy in the pack' or Cillian because 'he's like the sweetest guy ever!' teenage girls are the worst. With the exclusion of Kerri of course.
"She's a human Stella," Sabrina elbowed Stella.
"Oh," Stella's eyes were slightly wider than normal. She was obviously surprised. See, I told them about Kerri yesterday after the guys and I got back from bowling. Now, Stella can't even remember that Kerri's a freaking human! Girls, I tell ya!
"Besides, Spencer would never date anyone from another pack. Right Spence?" Sabrina's tone of voice was mean and rude making me wonder what was going on with them. None of the girls decided to branch off on the disclosed topic. Looking at them through the mirror again, I tried to find the 'conspirator'. Definitely wasn't Brina. That leaves only two others.
"Secrets, secrets are no fun unless you share with everyone," I grinned at them through the rearview mirror. They groaned and rolled their eyes at me. Pheobe however panted and licked my face. "Aww Pheobs, you're so nice to me."
She barked and kept panting. I gave a quick glance at Zeus who's body was pretty much all the way out the window.
An awkward silence filled the car so I turned on the radio. Automatically, the girls started singing along to the Black Eyed Peas song playing.
