The room

The room was small, dark, uncomfortable, the fluorescent lights lit it poorly as two bodies laid on the ground. The black walls all around them gave the room a morbid feeling, the quietness and stillness of the place only added to the illusion. The small brunette, a powerful hero, a strong woman who once was nothing but a scared homeless kid, had a suspicious bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet was shining, lighting up the face of the agent she once loved and was betrayed by. He stood right in front of her, handcuffed to the wall behind him, his head hanging low, and a drop of blood fell from the top of his head down to his lips.

The man began to shift, his vision was blurred as were his memories, he looked around the room, "interesting", he thought, "adamantium", as he placed his free hand on the cold wall behind him. He noticed that he was handcuffed and that Skye was free, "But why? Why put her in the same place as me? We have literally nothing in common? Who would want to arrest us both?". He looked at her, his thoughts began to drift, he couldn't help himself whenever he was around her, he knew it was a weakness, one of his only ones but, somehow, even just the fact he knew it was wrong made it all the more interesting to him. He then noticed the small bracelet, it shined, bright green, "Oh, so that's why she isn't cuffed, that probably keeps her from using her powers". That's right, once upon a time, when he met Skye, yes, Skye, not Daisy, he was not going to call her that, not even in his mind, she was just a hacker, a homeless girl scared out of her mind, she was making a statement about causes she didn't understand, The Rising Tide, an activist organization that seeked the freedom and accessibility of information, if she even knew what was to come. That little girl, whose wide eyed vision of the world always captivated him, who'd always try to see the best in people even when they let her down, who, despite not knowing anything about her past, besides struggling all her life, had the purest smile he'd ever seen. Years went by and now, as it turns out, she's actually some kind of superhero, the kind of superhero she used to dream about meeting, who she admitted to look up to and, despite being in opposite sides, he was proud of her.

Skye began to wake up, the first image that her brain managed to process was Ward's face, she didn't recognize where she was, she didn't remember why she was there and, at first sight, she felt an instinct to protect him, to run into his arms look him in the eyes and tell them it was going to be okay but that moment vanished and now all that she felt was a building anger, she should have gotten over it by now, it was a long time ago but, for some reason it still hurt her to know that the man who taught her everything she knew, the man standing in front of her was a traitor, was a backstabbing liar, a psychopath who killed over hundreds of people without even breaking a drop of sweat, she was still affected by it, more than she let everyone else on her team know.

"Good morning sleepy head" Ward said sarcastically

Her first urge was to fight him, she felt her anger flow through her veins, raised her arms but no power came from them. She proceeded to try it once again but there was still no outcome

"Don't worry Skye" he said once he saw the worried look on his face "Check out your new bracelet" he added

She looked down to her fist and realized there was a tiny bracelet that radiated some kind of green shimmering light. If there were something that she learned from Fitz and Simmons was that, when something green shined, it was because it had some weird alien proprieties, this probably kept her from using her powers.

"Look, I woke up a little earlier than you but, due to some limiting conditions" he said pointing to his handcuffs " I didn't check for a possible way out. I did realize that these walls surrounding us, they are made from adamantium. This is a secure location to keep an Asguardian and, as I assume, the only prison you couldn't easily escape from" he said giving her a weak smile " I'm guessing whoever put us here had some inside information of some sort, my bet's on both our teams"
