*****Once again I take no credit for any of this story save some creative interpretation of events. This story is heavily based on an online Manga series by Chibi-Works that was uploaded to Deviant Art in 2013. The series is ongoing and is well worth the read. I highly encourage everyone to check it out starting with the front cover at

The artwork I used as a cover is also not mine that is Chibi-Work's as well, Chibi's work is amazing and I love their interpretation of the creepypastas. Please read the Manga. My story is intended to be a tribute to Chibi-Work's work in a different medium.

ENJOY!*****

There was once a woman whose body was cursed.

If she dare bare a child it would die before its birth.

Through madness he crept, the monster of dark.

He promised a child to ease the woman's heart.

A daughter at last, she wept with joy.

Not knowing at once, she was just his toy.

---------------------------

The night was clear and the bright moonlight illuminated a small girl clutching a blue, roughly stitched teddy bear. She was standing under the trees deep in the woods. A small breeze wafted across the clearing making the old knurled tree creak threateningly and the limp body sway, straining the rope wrapped tightly around its throat.

"My Mama." Thought the little girl looking up at the body and clutching her bear tighter. "She's dead. She said I was a monster."

The girl turned her eyes away burying her face in her bear's soft head.

"I am alone."

Turning away she wandered into the shadows of the woods, the branches blocking off the silvery moonlight and making her surrounding dark but the girl wasn't afraid. Not even when she looked up and saw a tall figure in an black business suit silhouetted between the trees.

The man was unusually tall with abnormally long arms and legs even for his incredible height. He had a number of moving tendrils behind him and as the small girl approached she saw that where his face should have been there was only whiteness staring back.

The girl noticed it all, but she didn't care. Even as she approached and his long black tentacles reached menacingly for her all she wanted was to be his friend

"Hello," She greeted.

The man's tentacles stopped, he looked at her, his head cocked to the side curiously.

"I'm Lazari."

The tentacles retreated as the tall man stepped forward, reaching with a white hand to grasp Lazari's tiny, almost equally pale one. He lifted her up and threw her onto his shoulders. His tentacles gently gripped her, keeping her steady as they moved off into the darkness of the woods.

Lazari had no idea where they were going. All she knew was she had a friend.

They didn't travel far before they reached an area where trees and sharp shrubs completely blocked the way. The tall man took Lazari off his shoulders, cradling her in one long arm while shielding her with the other as he pushed his thin body through the knots and twists of the branches.
