When I say I need to pee, I will pee. Sadly, for my favorite teacher, Ms. Joy was dragging me out of my toilet because we are too late for our first ever camping. Oh, my first ever camping. Thank you mom.
"Marie! C'mon!," giddly Ms. Joy said while dragging my left foot to the ground. "We are too late. You know, I cannot be la--"
"--I cannot be late because I need to be a role model for my students. Blah, blah, blah." I said, mocking my anxious Ms. Joy. "Okay! Okay. I will stand up. Here! I'm standing, getting my stuffs and okay, off we goooo!"
"Thanks for the effort, Marie."
"You are welcome, Mademoiselle."
So we got in to the car, got our stuffs at the back sit, get to out sit, seatbelts in (because I don't want to die), and off we go.
Car trips are cool especially when it's December. I seldom felt coldness here in the Philippines, only in December to February. Yeah, I'm staying here in the Philippines with my family but I'm from Scotland where it is cold and well, still cold. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Scottish by blood neither my parents nor my relatives, but my parents worked there for almost half of their lives so I was born there and yay, I'm Scottish by heart. And the whole reason why I'm here because, I'm a student here.
But I looooove Filipinos. They are so amazing, their delicacies are scrumptious and mouthwatering, their attitudes are so sweet, hospitable and more. They are beautiful creatures. Also, the boys here are cute. ;)
So back to the car trip, it is nice to just let Ms. Joy give me a nice ride to the school.
We arrived to my school ten minutes late but you know, Filipinos are late, as always. They call this mannerism, "Filipino Time." Like for example, someone said that everyone should be at that place by 5PM sharp, everyone will be there by 5:30 onwards and some well, some Filipinos will be there minutes before the whole activity is even be finished. Guess what, no one is still inside our school for the camp itself.
"Well," Ms. Joy said melancholically, "more time for preparation, I guess."
"Yeah, right." I said. "I should get our stuffs in place."
"Sure."
"Ms. Joy!" Said someone from afar, "Ms. Joy, just in time."
We both looked at each other quizzically, wondering where that voice came from.
"Miss, miss. I'm here!"
And there we saw Anthony, running, sweats all over his body. What did he do all the time?
"Hi Miss Joy," looked at me, "Marie! Oh wow! You are here! Why?"
"I--" Miss Joy cut me.
"Well, she is my student from first year. She is interested to help for our camping later."
"Oh."
