Words spread fast around this school. Soon, everyone knew about Carmen's parents wanting to bring her home.

Everyone thought she was insane for denying, but they didn't know. They didn't know what those two people did to her.

A girl, maybe only about the age of thirteen, came up to Carmen and I, sitting under the tree.

"Are you Carmen Smith?" She asked. Carmen groaned and stood up.

"Yes, I'm Carmen. Yes, I rejected going home. Yes, I'm stupid. Now please leave me alone, little girl," And she sit back down. The girl stares, nodded and backed away.

"I really hate this. When are we next due babysitting? I need to get out,"

"Uh, not till three weeks,"

"Great," She sighed, leaning back against the thick trunk of the tree. I cleared my throat.

"So. Had anymore luck with the crush?" I smirk. She laughs, going pink.

"No,"

"When will you tell me who it is?" I persist.

"Never,"

"You can't keep a secret that long,"

"I can,"

"Have you ever spoken to the guy?"

"Yeah. I talk to him a lot. He just thinks we're friends,"

"How do you know he thinks that?"

"Well... I don't. Not for certain,"

"Oh," the bell screeches through the school. We stand up and make our way to Home Care. We're sewing today. What could be worse?

"Afternoon, class. I'm Miss Waller, and I'll be taking you for sewing. I'll let you sit where you want, but I will move anyone if I don't feel as though they're getting enough work done," She snaps. Luke and I sit on a desk together. Suddenly, the door flies open, and a boy who we've never seen before is standing there, looking flustered.

"Sorry, miss. I'm new and I got lost," he says, in a thick, British accent.

"What is your name?"

"Louis Tomlinson,"

Carmen, who was doodling on her wrists, looks up at the brown haired boy, and her eyes widen. She nudges me, not taking her eyes off Louis.

"That's who I like," she breathes.

"You've never even spoken to him,"

"Watch this," when Miss Waller shuffles into the back room to get the equipment we need, Carmen saunters over to Louis's desk.

"Hey. You're new, right? I'm Carmen,"

"Yeah, uh, I'm Louis,"

"Where you from? Never heard an accent like yours,"

"Britain. Doncaster,"

"Wow, pretty far. What you doing in Australia, then?"

The door opens, and Carmen flies back to her seat next to me. Luckily, Miss Waller had her back turned, so she didn't notice Carmen's movement. Carmen smirks and me and mutters.

"Yes I have talked to him,"

***
"I don't like that Louis," I say at break. Carmen laughs.

"Jealous?"

"What? No!" But when I say it, deep down, I know I am. Why can't I be the one making Carmen feel like that?

"Look, when I said I liked Louis, I wasn't that serious. I mean, yeah, he's really hot and has the coolest accent but I don't know him. Now, the guy I do like, I know him very well,"

"Do you speak to him, like, everyday?"

"Yeah,"

"It's gotta be Ashton," I say, leaning back. Ashton, who's sitting above us in the tree, looks down.

"Yeah?" He calls.

"Nothing!" Carmen yells up.

"No, it's not Ashton. He's one of my best friends," She says to me.

"Look, you talk about this crush of yours every day to me, but I still don't know who it is. Do I know?"

"You do. You know him really well," And she said no more about it.

A/n so this was kinda just a filler and I'm sorry if you don't like one direction Louis isn't going to be in this very much

Just a reminder, Carmen is played by Lauren Jauregui.

Luke's so dumb and oblivious lol I bet y'all know who Carmen likes ;)
