Chapter One
Suzuki, Nanami
America-- One hell of a scary place. They're driving on the wrong side of the road! Jeez, they could kill someone! Anyway, my name is Suzuki Nanami, I'm sometimes called Nana-chan or mi-chan. I'm 160 cm tall, have straight black hair that tumbles down my back, and dark brown eyes. I live with my dad and little sister Ai, and a small dog named Titan. We're from Japan but, suddenly my dad wants to leave for some pretty american girl. He's never even met her in real life. Only the internet..
For all he knows 'she' could be a 'he'. But apparently he's seen her on a video chat and he fell in love. I just hope his heart wont be broken like last time.
Flashback (10 years ago)
"Please Aoi, I can't be without you, I love you so much.."
"I'm sorry... I just can't... And I don't want those kids either... I never wanted you or them." I stared at them taking in my crying father and the cold expression on my mother's face.
"Mama? Why is papa crying?" She glared at me. "Go to bed you brat! No one told you to come out of your room! I don't want or need you or your sister! Especially you! I hate you all! I hate you!" And with that she stormed out the door never to be seen again.
My father broke down and started sobbing uncontrollably. I walked over to him and sat down. "It's okay papa. You'll find someone else, okay?" He wiped his eyes and smiled at me. "You are always so caring Nana. I hope your sister will be just like you when she grows up." He stood and picked me up. "It's time to go back to bed now, shall I read you another story?"
"Yeah!!"
End of flashback
"Onee-san! Are you gonna stay in the car all day?" I looked up and saw my dad already at the door and Ai standing at my door impatiently. "Sorry, baby-chan. I'll get out now." She huffed and stomped inside the house. I got out the car and grabbed my bag then walked inside the house. As soon as I got in I said the first word that came to mind. "Kuso" This fucking house was huge!
Aiden Black
"Aiden Black you get your ass back here!" I groaned and skidded to a stop. "What?!" My mother smiled. "Wear a jacket, it's cold outside." I rolled my eyes and slammed the door closed and headed to see the new neighbors. Apparently there's some Asian people moving in with Ashley. Hope they know she's batshit crazy...
I knocked on the door and put on my best smile when Ashley answered. "Hey, Aiden! Did you come to see my new family?" I nodded. "Okay. I think they have a girl your age.. she's seventeen. Might not speak much english though. Hasn't spoken english since I met her."
I sighed. Great. Just fucking great. I walked inside and saw a girl who looked to be about thirteen. Hope she speaks english. "Uh, hey kid." She looked up and smiled. "Hi! My name's Ai, what's yours?"
"Uh, It's Aiden. Um, does your sister speak english?"
"Yeah! Better than me! Want me to go get her?" I nodded. She got up and ran upstairs.
As soon as I sat down, a man walked in and stared at me. "What you doing here?" i grimaced. "Uh, my mom wanted me to come over and welcome the family.." He nodded. "Okay. Don't be pervert boy to my daughters, yes?"
"Uh, yes sir." He smiled brightly. "Good. How old?" "Seventeen" He nodded again. "Hmm... might be good man for my girl. Polite, strong and good looks. Yes.. good suitor for her." I coughed. "Um, what?"
I saw a different girl walk in with short shorts and a black tank top. She walked up to me and crossed her arms. "Anata wa otokonoko ga nani o shitaidesu ka?" "Um, what?" She grinned. "What do you want?"
"Uh, I just wanted to meet the new neighbors and stuff... Uh, I'm Aiden. What's your name?"
"Nanami. Would you like to stay for dinner?" I grinned. "Yeah, if that's okay." She nodded. "I hope we can become friends soon. You seem nice."
My face turned red slightly. "Thanks..." What's this? The great Aiden blushing?! What happened to my badass personality. Maybe it's her. Hmm. "Nanami! Watashi wa anata o hitsuyo to suru!" She grinned. "Sorry, I need to help my sister. I'll see you later, okay?" Before she could walk off I grabbed her arm.
She blinked and looked at me. "You're going to school monday right?" She nodded. "Uh, you want a ride? It's kind of far to walk.."
She smiled brightly. "Hai." Then she walked off to go help her sister. I frowned and walked back home. What the hell does that mean? I groaned and went up to my room completely ignoring my little brother and my mother and stormed upstairs to my room.
I sat on the bed and looked up Hai on the internet. "Huh. So it means yes." I grinned and walked back downstairs to greet my little brother with a slap upside the head.
He glared at me and tackled me to the ground.
We ended the day play fighting and playing video games.
