During the show on Saturday you & the girls are watching on the monitors from backstage and every time you see JJ on the screen you smile to yourself. After performing, the boys feel really good about how it went and they come running backstage, JJ runs over to you for a hug and he picks you up just a couple of inches from the floor and spins a little, after putting you down the 2 of you smile friendly at each other strangely not feeling awkward at all. All 10 of you crowd into Union J’s dressing room, you & JJ are sitting on the counter-top, your feet swinging beside each other as you’re talking and laughing. 10 minutes later, you and the girls are called to the stage for District 3’s performance.
Later on back at the hotel, Union J are doing a twitcam for their Jcats in Josh & JJ’s room, and you stop by to return JJ’s jacket that he left in your room. He tells you to come inside so that he can introduce you to the fans on twitter, you say hi to the webcam and tweets start coming in saying ‘JJ is she your girlfriend?’ ‘She’s so pretty, are you a couple?’ ‘Are [YN] & JJ dating?’ The 2 of you feel a little bit awkward and just look at each other and laugh a little, ‘No we’re not dating’ you say ‘we’re just good friends’. Then JJ says ‘Hey you guys should all follow her on twitter and he gives them all your @ name. Your followers list suddenly shoots up.
The next day, during the results show you get a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach and you’re not sure what to make of it. As you’re coming back from the bathroom Imaan runs up to you and says ‘Did you see the results?’ she looks worried, ‘No, what happened?’ you say nervously. ‘Union J & District 3 are in the bottom 2’ she replies, your jaw hits the floor and the 2 of you run back to the green room to watch on the monitors, the girls all have tears in their eyes as you just watch nervously with your hand over your mouth, trying desperately to hold back your tears, you can’t bear the thought of not seeing JJ every day. It suddenly dawns on you how much you love him and how much it would kill you if he left without you telling him. The results are in & Union J have been saved by the judges, you sigh a massive sigh of relief, kick off your shoes and run down to the backstage area, JJ sees you and with tears still in his eyes he picks you up as you run into his arms, you’ve wrapped your legs round his waist and are hugging him so tightly. As you loosen your grip, your hands fall to the side of his face and you kiss him passionately. After a minute he pulls back and looks at you a little shocked for a moment until you smile at him letting him know that you were just being stupid before and that this is what you really want. He smiles back and kisses you back as you put your feet to the ground, he wraps his arm round your shoulder as you hold on to his hand and walk down the hallway both smiling. Josh, George & Jaymi are all tunned at what just happened between you & JJ.
You all head to Union J’s dressing room again to chill for a moment before Xtra Factor starts and JJ sits beside you on the couch and you lean your head onto his shoulder. George looks at the 2 of you and says ‘Well Finally!’ you all laugh knowing just what he means.
After The Xtra Factor, you all head back to the hotel and JJ walks you to your door, the 2 of you spend 15 minutes just making out because you don’t want to say goodnight to him just yet. ‘I’m sorry it took me so long to just admit how I felt’ you say ‘It’s okay, I knew you’d give into my charms eventually’ he says and you both laugh.
‘C’mon come in’ you say, you both walk into your room and he closes the door, the 2 of you sit cross legged on your bed just talking way into the night for hours, you tell him again that you’re sorry for being such a fool before, he doesn’t say anything, he just smiles. Surprisingly in a way, it feels like nothing has changed, you still get along like you’re best friends, it doesn’t feel awkward for either of you, you’re just so comfortable with each other.
Jaymi comes by to see where JJ is because it’s now 2am, Jaymi has the spare key to your room in case of emergencies, and he quietly unlocks the door and walks in to see you & JJ asleep on top of the bed, in each others arms.
