XLV: Confronting the Demigod! (Part 2 of 2)

"Aged Lightning: Catastrophe BOLT!!!" King yelled, dashing in front of Draco's face and blasting it with electricity. Draco fell back a bit and noticed his back heavier. Alice II pulled his ears and his hair, making Draco scream in pain. "Aged Lightning: Destructive Voltage!!!" 

"You bastards..." Draco mumbled. King just looked at him in a serious tone. Alice II leaned on his back with her scythe clutched tightly. The three seemed evenly matched, their power too similar.

"I can't believe this." King said. "You should've been finished!"

"But King," Alice II mumbled. "He's a Demigod. He's not going down so easily."

"You're right..." King looked at everyone's unconscious bodies and wondered how they were gonna get out of this mess. It would take a miracle!

The miracle of anger.

Alice II looked at the bodies with a sad face. That was her brother..her two sisters..and all her friends. As she began to glow with a purple aura, King stood back, for he knew this power. Apparently, Draco did too. He laughed and crossed his arms. Alice II looked at him, confused.

"What?" Alice II said.

"Nothing. We'll fight another day, kiddies." Draco said as he began to vanish. "Also, I rigged this entire temple to collapse. Later!" Draco was gone, leaving Alice II and King confused. 

"Well, at least he's gone." King said. He tried to wake up Pierce and Sky.

"Onii..." Alice II said, her hand in Shard's curly hair. She smiled as Shard began to wake up, rubbing his eyes and yawning like a cat.

"Did..you win?" Shard said weakly. He looked at Alice II, and by the smile on her face, he could tell.

"Okay, let's get ou--"

"WAIT DID HE SAY RIGGED TO COLLAPSE!?!" King yelled.

Alice II and Shard looked at him.

"SHIT SHIT SHIT!!" Shard yelled as he carried Lxve and Sky using his wind magic.

"Where is an exit?" King said, carrying Pierce and Kaizen. 

"The hell should I know?!" Alice II replied, carrying Leah. The group was dashing down a corridor that they came from, and soon enough, made it to the room they fell into. Using his wind, Shard blasted everyone up there with all his strength. The bodies landed on the main level's floor, the unconscious ones beginning to wake up.

"What the hell!!" Alice II looked down into the pit to see it filled up with rocks, and slowly sighed.

"Hmm.." King said. "I guess Draco only destroyed the bottom part of the temple."

"You're probably right." Shard said. He picked up Sky and Leah, getting them off the ground.

"Thanks, Shardyy." Leah said. Shard sighed.

"Well, before we went down that pit," Shard said, pointing at the pit. "I noticed that there was a staircase over there." Shard pointed just ahead of them, at a bronze staircase located in the room ahead.

"You want to go in there?" Alice II said.

"Worth a shot. Let's go." Leah replied. The group, now all awake, walked through the room and up the stairs. At the top was a shrine of some sort, decorated with stars and large floating orbs.

"What is this place?" Lxve mumbled. 

"It looks like a palace.." Kaizen said. In front of them was a small staircase, which at the top, held a sword and a book. The book had a lock on it, and was worn out, with a gray cover. The sword was light green with a blue mark on it, which was blurry to the naked eye.

"Shard.." King said. Shard nodded and walked up the stairs. As he was about to touch the sword, he noticed that a hand was on his hand, and another two on his shoulders. He turned around to see Leah, Lxve, and Alice II. They smiled, and Shard couldn't help but smile too.

"As a family!" Shard said as he touched the book. The light around them enveloped the entire room, and just as fast as it appeared, it disappeared. Shard, Lxve, Alice II, and Leah with it.
