Chapter 9 - Doctors and hospital visits

It was a while before you were able to actually visit Kise. With a sudden influx of photo shoots and your needing to study for exams that were coming up, you barely had any time to go see him. When you did it was already after visiting hours. You were worried about him. He didn't text you even though he texted Akashi. It made you feel like maybe he thought you were avoiding him.

After about a week of exams, studying, and photo shoots you were finally able to go see him. As you were going in you met up with four people who were clearly his family. One of them looked quite a bit older, her gold hair was starting to grey, her skin starting to wrinkle, and her eyes starting to lose that light in them that most young folk had. In her arms was a sleeping little girl with similar gold hair. You figured she was Mimi, his kid cousin. The other two looked like gender bent visions of Kise. With identical hair and eyes that look like they could also be his twins. Though one of them was clearly older and seemed to be about the age of your average college student. The other didn't look much older than yourself. You walk up to them and bow as you introduced yourself.

"Good evening. I'm [last name, first name]. Me and Kise-kun are close friends and classmates."

"Oh? I've heard him talking about a friend he had in junior high that came back recently. Is that you?" His older sister asks as you stand straight from your bow.

"I believe that is. He talked about me?" You felt your cheeks flush in the slightest.

His younger sister nods, "You're the girl he liked that moved away. He talked frequently about you. I was still living with him at the time so I heard about you almost every day." She says, and almost sly smirk crossing her lips.

"O-Oh... I didn't know he was that bad, I'm sorry..." You felt your face burning, what type of embarrassing things did he say about you?

"It wasn't as they say. Back then Kise seemed happiest. You made him smile more than I've ever seen. He always talked about you so passionately. I'm sure that he loves you." His mother spoke, her voice sounding slightly hoarse. Like she was utterly exhausted.

You smile and bow again, "Thank you. I better get going before visiting hours are over. It's nice meeting you."

"It was nice meeting you too. He's awake right now just so you know." His mother says and you nod a thanks as you walk past them to go see Kise.

You were nervous about seeing him. Last time you saw him you told him your raw feelings while he laid there in pain on your lap. You remember the feeling of his hair as he laid there and you missed it. You loved the feeling of his hair. Could I have a fetish for his hair? You ponder for a moment before you knock on his door. There was a quick response as he said for you to come in.

You slowly peek your head in to see Kise looking at you wide eyed, "[Name]-san! I was beginning to think you wouldn't come see me."

You smile and close the door as you walk in. There was a large stack of colourful envelopes on the table next to the bed as well as a bunch of get well gifts. Most of them were flowers and sweets. You pulled up a chair next to his bed. You figured the gifts were from his fangirls.

"I had to study for exams and had a few photo shoots. I wanted to come see you sooner." You smile meekly.

Kise gives you a broad grin, "I'm just glad you made it eventually. I was getting tired of all the fangirls."
