Meanwhile, someplace dark, the gargantuan creature, Zalgo, lurked. Upset at his own slowness when it came to getting ahold of the child and The Rake's failure at finding her he had to come up with a new plan.

The loss of the girl had set him back but the plan was salvageable. All he needed was an agent who would not fail him.

"Stripes, child, come to me." He called into the dark.

Footsteps approached and out of the fog stepped a woman. Wearing a long coat with vertical stripes it wasn't hard to see how she got her name. Her hair was short and brown and two horns curled up from her forehead. Her face was covered with aviator goggles and the bottom half of a gas mask. On her right forearm and thigh small mouths bared their needle-like teeth as Zalgo's daughter came to a stop before her father.

"Yes Master Zalgo?"

"I have a job for you to do." Zalgo explains, "I need you to collect monsters. Make sure they are stupid enough to manipulate."

"With pleasure Zalgo." Stripes replies, revealing long talon like fingers poised for battle.

"Do not fail me Stripes."

"Hey Lulu?" Lazari called out.

Slender had set the little girl up with her own room and Lulu had just tucked her into bed. The eyeless girl had just been about to leave when Lazari called her back.

"Hm?"

"Sing to me?"

"Okay!"

Lulu headed back to the bed and crawled in with Lazari, cuddling up to the little girl.

"Hush little Lazi.

Don't say a word.

Lulu's gonna catch you a mockingbird,

And if that mockingbird won't sing,

Jeff's gonna chop off someone's diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring turns brass,

Slendy's gonna hand you a looking glass."

Lazari was asleep before Lulu was done the song.

The next morning Lazari woke to find Lulu sleeping next to her.

Tiptoeing out of her room Lazari makes her way to the living room where she spots Slendy's long legs hanging over the arm of the couch. Slender is snoring peacefully and Lazari doesn't want to wake him.

"Here you go Mr. Slendyman." She whispers laying her teddy bear beside him and sneaking away. When she's gone Slendy suddenly stops snoring.

"There's no way Zalgo made her" he thought hoping he was right.

Back in her room Lazari tucked Lulu in and grabbed the paper and crayons left over from coloring with Masky. Staking out a spot on the floor Lazari began to draw.

It was still early in the morning when she finished so she collected her drawings and snuck down the hall to Masky's room. He was the only one in the room despite there being three beds. Lazari tucked her drawing of herself and Masky sharing paper under his arm. Next she went to Jeff's room where she almost woke him laughing at the silly position he was sleeping in. She put the picture of the two of them on his shoulder. Finally she crept into Jacks room where she saw his mask on the bedside table and put her drawing of the two of them sharing a hug on top. She hoped that he would forgive her for the bite.
