Chapter 6: We Stitch These Wounds

*CC's P.O.V.*

Ashley had returned smiling. Something good must've happened. He walked over to us and we all kept quiet, waiting to hear the good news.

He clapped his hands together as he spoke, "Well guys, great news. I signed her discharge papers and they'll be releasing her tomorrow. They want to keep her over night just to be safe. If she's still fine tomorrow, then I'll come and get her. Okay guys? Now, let's go home."

He continued to smile as he wrapped an arm around Alexa. Everyone walked out together, hand in hand. Everyone also had a ride, except me. Not my fault I went in the ambulance. Jinxx and Sandra decided to offer me a ride. I thanked them and kindly took them up on their offer.

The ride was fairly quiet, but it wasn't awkward or anything. Everyone was happy, smiling, plus, Sandra and Jinxx were holding hands up front. I was forced to sit alone in the back, not that I cared.

My phone went off and "Without You" by Mötley Crüe had started playing. I looked down at my phone, which had disturbed the silence. I had a new text from Andy.

Andy: Hey tmrw ur place 4 Amanda's srprse prty k?

I sighed and rolled my eyes then responded, "K."

Leave it to Andy, don't ask first and don't turn spell check on. I was growing tired. I shut my eyes and ended up dozing off in the back seat.

*10 minutes later*

"CC! CC! CC! CC! Come on! Wake up!"

Huh? What the hell? I opened my eyes and I saw Jinxx and Sandra turned around from the front facing me and trying to get me to wake up.

I rubbed my eyes then tiredly asked, "Where are we?"

"We're at your place CC.", Jinxx responded.

"Oh," I mumbled.

I got out and walked to my house. I barely managed to get the key in the door before I stumbled inside. God I'm tired.

I shut and locked the door before heading upstairs to my room to nap. I tossed my keys on the table and began slumping upstairs. I needed to sleep.

I threw myself at the bed then turned to check the time, it was only 3. I figured I'd sleep until 4. I set the alarm on my phone so "TNT" by ACDC played.

I just started getting cozy when I heard something downstairs. I shrugged it off, assuming it was my pug Lola. I closed my eyes and tried sleeping again. Within 5 minutes I heard another noise then decided to check it out.

I sighed as I rolled out of bed then started downstairs. About halfway down I saw Lola scamper past the stairs, into the living room then heard another noise from the kitchen. I froze. What the hell? Was Sandra here? She did occasionally just show up and help herself. She normally texted me beforehand though...

I took a deep breath then slowly and cautiously approached the kitchen. I got there, and saw no one. Okay, what the hell was going on?

I swore I heard footsteps behind me, so I instantly whirled around and didn't see anything. Oh my god. I'm just tired. Yeah, that's it, I just need sleep.

I shook my head in confusion and disbelief as I headed back to my room. I got to my room and found out who was messing with my head. I couldn't believe it was her. I stood in the doorway with huge eyes as my mouth hung open, so I'm sure I looked like an idiot.

She turned and spoke, "Oh, why, hello. Didn't you hear? I'm okay."
