Chapter 8

1991

Dave

I was so excited to tell Mel that I had bought our apartment. I drove around to her house and knocked on the door.
"Dave," she said and there her arms around me when she answered the door. Her hair was messy and she was still in her pyjamas but she looked so cute.
"I have a surprise," I said
"What is it?" she asked.
"I got us an apartment," I said.
"That's great," Mel said and kissed me.
"When do we move in?" She asked.
"Whenever we want," I said.
"I will start packing my stuff," she said and ran up the stairs to her bedroom. I went up to her bedroom and helped her all her stuff pack. When we went to the kitchen Kurt was there with some girl who I assumed was Courtney.
"I am moving out," Mel
"What?" Kurt asked with a confused look on his face.
"I am moving into an apartment with Dave," she said
"Ummm ok then," Kurt said.
"Yay I can stay over more since your sister won't be here to judge us," Courtney said.
"Whatever Courtney," Mel said and flipped her off.
"Ok bye Kurt," Mel said and kissed Kurt on the cheek.
"Bye," he said. Mel and i loaded her stuff into my car and we went to the apartment.

Melanie

I can't believe Dave and I have our own place now. Dave already had all his stuff at the apartment set up so i just had to set up my stuff. Once I had unpacked all my stuff Dave and I went grocery shopping.
"I hate Courtney," I said.
"She seems like a bitch," Dave said.
"Shes physco. She stayed for dinner last night and she drank vodka straight from the bottle at the dinner table, she had really loud sex with Kurt and didn't even try to be a little quiet and then they shoot up under the table," I said.
"God," Dave said.
"Could you get the last few items and I will go over to the liquor store and we will meet at the car," I said.
"Sure. Could you get me some more beer aswell," Dave said.
"Ok," I said and went over to the liquor shop. I got some bottles of wine and the beer Dave wanted. Once I was done i met Dave at the car and we went home. The apartment was pretty big but it needed some more stuff in it so tomorrow I am going shopping to get some more since I have saved up a whole heap of money.
"Hey babe i just found out tomorrow night MTV is hosting the band a formal dinner for the release of Nevermind," Dave said.
"Ok sounds good ," I said and Dave and I hugged.
"Mmmmm you smell good," Dave said nuzzling his head into my hair.
"Come on lets watch a movie," Dave said and carried me to our room. There was a tv with a VCR in our room.
"Let's watch Texas chainsaw massacre," Dave suggested.
"Ok," I said. I have never seen Texas chainsaw massacre before but I have heard it's really scary. Dave and I got into bed and started watching the movie. I lay my head on his chest as we watched the movie. It was really scary.
"You wanna turn it off?" Dave asked.
"I think that would be a good idea," I said.

Dave

It was so cute when Melanie gets scared.
"So what do you wanna do," she whispered to me. If only what she knew she was doing to me.
