He just saved me. Draco Malfoy just saved me. I stood in the bathroom with the troll still unconscious, but the look on Draco's face... He was as confused as I was. I thought he hated me. I heard a grunt come from the troll and then ran out so I wouldn't get trapped again, grabbing my wand on the way out. I needed answers. He could have just left me to die and I saw it in his face he was ready to let me die. So why didn't he? I rushed back to the common room and found myself face to face with the Fat Lady. "Fortitudinem" I said, stepping forward to go in but the Fat Lady didn't budge. "Didn't you hear me?" I half asked half shouted. "Oh yes dear I did hear you but something is troubling you, isn't it?" She answered, standing up and walking up the steps in her painting. "Excuse me but you're supposed to be a door, not a counsellor so I would much appreciate it if you minded your own business and opened up!" I very annoyingly said. The Fat Lady shot a dirty look at me and rolled her eyes before she opened and I could go through. I needed time to think this through, usually I can tell why someone does something but Draco... That was unexplainable...
I sat in the common room looking at the fire. I was just so confused and it hadn't even been 10 minutes before Ginny burst in saying, "Hermione I was walking along the halls a-and I saw Draco and he stopped m-me and he asked for you." Ginny looked like she'd ran the whole way here, I have to admit I was surprised too. First of all the whole 'saving my life' thing, now this? Knowing him he wouldn't want to see me, now I had the power to say that Draco, a pure blood Slytherin, saved me, a 'Mudblood' Gryffindor. His humiliation would never stop if I did. "Where did you see him?" I asked Ginny, holding her by her shoulders gently. "I saw him outside the great hall." Ginny said, sitting down on a chair. " I'll be back here soon then." I said, walking out of the common room.

I saw Draco in a corridor that was a lot closer than the great hall, it was empty but I wasn't scared, I can handle Draco. As soon as Draco saw me, he walked towards me and then pinned me to a wall while I tried to break free. "What did you do to me?" He asked calmly but when I looked at him confused he started shouting. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?" He shouted, me turning my face away trying to get out but he was too strong. I looked at his face and saw anger, confusion and... Fear? "Whatever you think I did, I didn't do anything to you!" I shouted back, struggling against his hold on my wrists. He then must have realised that I was telling the truth because he let go of me and looked at me confusedly. "I don't really like being pinned up to walls so please can you tell me what this is about??" I said rubbing my wrists and glaring at him.

Draco stared at me for the longest time then his face turned into a smirk and he walked away. By the time I tried to catch up with him, he was gone.

"Bloody great!" I shouted to no one in particular and I walked back to the tower in a huff. How dare he pin me up to the wall like that and then not tell me why he did it, who does he think he is?? I went up to the Fat Lady and before she could speak I said in a very dangerous tone, "Fortitudinem and don't even try to say another word or I promise you I will slash your painting." She looked rather taken aback but she opened none the less. I stormed in and flopped down on a chair while Ginny looked all startled. "What happened?" Ginny asked, running over to me. "He pinned me up against the wall asking me what I did and when I told him that I didn't do anything he let me go then he smirked and walked away!" I exclaimed, annoyed. "Oooooh sounds like someone's in loooovvee." Ginny said in a sing song voice, bursting into laughter. I looked at her seriously for a moment and then joined in the laughter too. I swear Ginny was one of the things that kept me going in this magical world. "No but seriously have you considered love?" Ginny said. I scanned her face for any sign of a joke but when I found none I got scared. "Come, let me show you." Ginny said standing up and walking towards the entrance.

When we showed up at the library I got a bit confused but Ginny kept going and she knew exactly where the book was because she walked up to a bookshelf and the first book she pulled out was the one she was looking for. "Here, I read about this a while back while I was bored." She opened up a page and gave the book to me.

True Love
True love is the most powerful magic of all, it can't be duplicated or made, no matter how powerful the ingredients or witch/wizard. True love is like a parasite. Once it chooses two people to latch onto, it never lets go.

Hermione flipped to the next page, dreading what was written there.

Symptoms of true love
If you have been affected by true love, you might not notice it at first. The other person might even be someone you hate with a passion but even then, none of you will let any serious harm befall one another. The love will grow stronger and more fierce and you will notice that over time you will be attracted to one another more and more. There is no known way to get rid of true love but remember. Both of you had to have a connection deep enough to form true love. Both of you had to love one another at some point to be able to make that bond much stronger.

"No" whispered Hermione, "This can't be happening..
