Chapter 2
"Elliiiieeeeeee!" I was woken up by what sounded like 4 people saying my name.
I groaned and opened my eyes to be met with 4 pairs of eyes all set on me.
"Yeeesssss?" I said, drawing out the word.
I finally sat up and noticed they were all dressed in their good clothes and had bags on their backs. Wait, why would they have- Ohhh yeah thats right, todays monday, they have school.
I quickly looked around trying to find out what time it is and I was answered as I saw the clock on the wall.
Crap. Its 7:38 and school starts at 8h.
I got up and started running around trying to look presentable enough to walk them to school. I put on a pair of white skinny jeans that are ripped along my thighs and knees and put on a black tanktop and a faded blue sweater overtop.
I quickly combed through my straight black hair with my fingers and put a white headband in my hair.
I quickly yelled out "Have you eaten yet??" Which followed with four no's. I started panicking as I ran around the makeshift kitchen and gave them each half an apple and a few snacks to share for the rest of the day at school and told them to eat it on the way there.
We all walked out of the house and onto the sidewalk as I huddled them closely to me, and away from the shifty looking people on the sidewalk.
Not like anyone would dare try to do anything with the icy glare I sent to anyone that came too close for my liking.
"Diiiinngg Donnnngggg" I swore silently under my breath as I heard the warning bell for their school ring and quickened my pace, they quickened their pace, trying to keep up with me.
I looked behind me to see that Annie is having a hard time catching up so I bent down and picked her up, placing her on my hip as she wrapped her arms around my neck leaning her head on my shoulder.
*~.~*
I dropped them off at the front doors, giving them a kiss on the cheek and telling them to hurry up and get to class and to be good.
As I was walking back home, I decided that I'd go into the city today to my favourite place.
As soon as I got back, I took my rusty old bike and brought it outside, and started biking to the city.
*~.~*
As I was biking on the busy sidewalk, swerving around people that got in the way and sharing a few choice words, I saw the building I was looking for, the Scotiabank Arena.
(*AN, its an arena where artists perform shows and stuff and during the winter, theres hockey and stuff, this is based in like, June by the way, so its pretty warm out, therefore, instead of ice, its just cement and theres a stage in the middle of the rink*)
I stopped my bike and got off, tying my bike to the bike rail and went inside.
I walked around the big lobby, looking in wonder and awe at the posters of artists who've performed here. My biggest dream is that one day, it'll be me on one of these posters.
I sighed dreamily, knowing it would never happen.
But hey... A girl can dream.
