I had seen plenty of movies and read plenty of books that involved werewolves. You know, silver bullets and the full moon kind of thing.

Now, in front of five werewolves and surrounded by hundreds more apparently, I can say that movies and books didn't even come close.

Daniel was obviously the one in the middle. He stood at about five feet and had shaggy brown fur. The give away was his eyes. They were the same piercing, icy blue as they were when he was, well, human. He had an air of authority as he led the other four wolves out into the clearing.

The wolf to his right was probably Jason. He was taller than other wolves by at least half a foot with the exception of Daniel. His fur was the same sandy blonde and was especially shaggy. You could barely see his eyes.

The wolf to Daniel's left was most likely Sam. Same brown fur and eyes. I didn't recognize the other two.

I gulped down my nervousness. If they wanted to kill you, i thought, they would've done it by now.

Melisa gave my hand a reassuring squeeze as the wolves finally reached the crowd. All four sat down except Daniel, who was staring intently at me.

He cocked his head to the side as to say, "believe me now?".

Almost automatically, i took a step forward. Everyone was watching me with a curious disposition. Looking down i realized that Melisa had finally released my hand. I took a couple more tentative steps until i was a mere foot from the wolf version of Daniel.

No way in hell this is real, i kept telling myself that because i could see no alternative. Well, besides werewolves.

And yet here i am.

I yelped and fell backwards landing painfully on my rear end, scrambling backwards. "Wha..."

He smirked, if wolves could even smirk.

Didn't mean to startle you!

Okay, i was officially crazy! First werewolves now voices in my head! What next?

The smirk disappeared from Daniel's face. He took slow, deliberate steps toward me. To anyone else, this might be taken as threateningly, but to me it was anything but. Then again i was probably losing my mind.

You're not crazy. He sat down in front of me. Being such a big wolf... thing... he was looking down at me. Have you noticed that's it's my voice inside your pretty little head?

He had a point i suppose. I figured if i was crazy it would be my voice or one i didn't recognize.

"But how..."

He laid down places his paws on my lap and looking up at me with his cute blue eyes. Did i say cute? God damn it.

He huffed. Think of it as my uh... he looked upwards thinking. Wolfie way of communicating. He said, or maybe thought, with a grin.

I chuckled despite the awkwardness of the situation. I didn't know why but he made me feel... comfortable.

"Wolfie way of communicating?" I said dubiously. He rolled his eyes and I laughed again.

I didn't know any other way of explaining a mind link!

"Mind link?"

How about you just think what you want to say so this can be a bit more private? He cocked and eyebrow. I didn't notice at the time that he was avoiding the subject.

I looked around reminded of the hundreds of people staring and murmuring. Blushing furiously i tried out the thinking what you want to say thing.

Didn't think this through did ya?
