"Is this dress okay for my party tonight?"Mary asked Aria.
Aria smiled looking at the girl who was her daughter "It looks so beautiful on you."she gushed
Riker stood with Aurora and Paisley who were watching Mary try on dresses for the last hour. Finally Mary found the perfect dress for her party tonight.
"You're making the frosted cookies tonight right mom because Andrew loves them."Mary asked once they got home.
Aria laughed "Sure,but the real question here is what color frosting?"she asked
"Aqua it's my favorite color."Mary replied
Her mothers laughter faded quickly "Right I'm sorry,I'm really trying to remember these things."
"Honey we have to get your cake."Riker told Mary who smiled.
Riker and Mary left along with the twins. A few seconds later Cole came in with a sour look that changed when he seen Ariana.
"Mom what's up?"Cole asked hugging her
She uncomfortable hugged him back still getting use to all this "I have to make cookies for tonight care to help?"she asked
He smiled and began to get everything out for the recipe "We use to make these all the time. I love them so much."Cole explained
As they began to make the cookies Aria couldn't help but feel like this was something she loved to do. As she came out of her thoughts she felt something hit her.
"Cole Andrew did you just throw flour at me?"Aria asked
He smiled innocently "No of course not mom."
Smirking Aria grabbed some flour and threw it back,before they knew it they were throwing flour at each other. Cole had the brilliant idea to use to cookie dough.
Cooke dough went right into Arias hair. And they both stayed silent until they began to laugh. Eggs were now being thrown along with cookie dough and flour still.
Once there was nothing else to throw Aria and her son collapsed on the floor in laughter.
"I remember something."Aria said suddenly and stopped laughing.
Cole set up and stared at his mother "What is it?"he asked smiling brightly
She smiled "Rydel and I had done this before. Oh gosh Rydel,she's my best fiend we've been trough a lot together."
Her sons smile faded as his mother got up to clean the kitchen from their mess. When Cole heard his mom say "I remember something" a part of him wished she meant that she remembered they use to do this a lot when they made cookies before she lost her memory. Getting up Cole walked to the bathroom and sat on the floor his back pressed to the door.
He pulled his legs to his chest and sobbed I to them "Why can't you remember us?"he said through his sobs over and over again.
Cole had no clue that on the other side of the door stood his mom who was listening to her 15 year old son sobbing over her.
"I'm sorry Cole."she whispered and tears fell down her face "I'm trying so hard to remember you all."
That night at Mary's 17th birthday party Aria sat with Rydel and talked with her about how she remembered Rydel and everything they've been through.
"This is amazing what made you remember?"Rydel asked
"Well remember when we got into that food fight while baking cookies once?"Aria asked and Rydel nodded "Cole and I well we were doing that today and I suddenly remembered."
As Rydel was about to say something a song came on that was one of Ariana's favorite songs. It was kiss me by Ed Sheeran.
"Want to dance?"Riker asked Aria.
She looked at his hand then back to him "Sure."she said grabbing his hand held out for her.
Cole and Mary watched as their parents danced together. The clever pair of siblings planned it out praying this would work and they'd have their mom back.
By the end of the song Riker and Aria were staring into each others eyes. Riker made the move by leaning in which Aria scared Aria a bit.
"No."she said and let go of Riker and walked outside.
"You alright?"A voice said from behind her which was Riker
Tears blurred her vision "No I'm not alright. I can't remember my own kids and I can't even feel okay enough for you,my own husband to kiss me. I feel so terrible."
"Shh Aria it's okay. You'll remember eventually."Riker said holding his wife as she sobbed frustratedly.
"I hope she does."Cole mumbled to himself as he watched his parents.
