Chapter 10: A Special Moment

~Skyler's POV~

I walk back in my flat around 2 hours later after my 'date' with Justin I arrive home. Alone, I told him I was tired and was going to go to sleep, even though it was only 2 pm. I really had intended on calling Niall on Skype.

"Annie?"

"In here!" she calls out from the kitchen I think. I walk in there and she is with Ryan. I smile at the both of them.

"Hey Skyler haven't seen you in a while." Ryan says.

"Yeah, been busy as hell." I say smiling. "Anyways I am going to go Skype someone!"

"Niall?" Annie asks wigging her eyebrows at me. I slightly blush and Ryan raises his eye brows at us.

"Aren't you dating Justin?" Ryan asks.

"I am indeed, Niall and I are just friends! Bye!" I say before ditching that very awkward situation. I boot my laptop up and then log onto Skype.

I see Niall is online and I call him. He answers almost immediately. "Hey!" I say smiling at him.

"What's up? I am so bored!" he says smiling.

"Same, I just got back, I was with Justin."

"Yeah, that's cool." he says giving me a half smile, which I gladly return. I walk over to my bed and sit down.

"So what have you been doing since the last time I talked to you?" I asked.

"Well, I went to get something to eat..and" as Niall was talking I wasn't really listening, I was on my laptop searching on old documents I had saved before I got in the accident and I came across a new on I had never seen before.

I carefully open it and gasp at what I see. "Skyler are you okay?" Niall asks me. I didn't answer him, I just read what was on the screen. Song lyrics? I used to write songs? Just then I remembered something.

~Flashback~

"Skyler do you want to go out tonight? We could go to a movie or we could just stay in and watch a movie at mine or something, if you want."  Niall asked me over the phone.

"Yeah, I am not feeling to well, how about I just come over and we can watch a movie?" I ask.

"Sure, I can make you some soup or tea or something." he says.

"That would be lovely, I will be over in 10, bye Niall." I say before hanging up the phone. I smile to myself and grab my coat and exit my room. When I walk into the living room Eleanor and Louis are snuggled on the couch. I smile they are to cute.

"I'm going out!" I say to them.

"Where?" Eleanor asks. I shrug and blush.

"El look, she's blushing!" Louis says. "She's going to go see Niall!"

"Yep.." I say popping the 'p'

"God he should just ask you out already." Eleanor said.

"We are just friends!" I tell her crossing my arms. As I do that Louis gives me a funny look. He then smiles.

"Yeah sure 'friends.' That's what they all say." he says winking. I roll my eyes at him and leave. Its a short walk from here to Niall's so I don't really mind. But what I do mind is, why was Louis looking at me like that? Niall and I are just friends, nothing more. Honestly I wasn't sure if I would be ready to be in a relationship.

As I reach Niall's flat, I try and turn the knob but its locked. "This boy is getting smart." I say and smile to myself. But before I knock I look under the mat for the spare key, nope not there. I walk over to his mailbox and find the key tucked in the mailbox. "Found you." I walk back to his door and turn the knob.
