A Friend Like You
I was walking on an alley
Taking my own way breathlessly
Oh, how my heart beat so fast
Hopelessly thinking that’ll be the last
Tears were falling from my eyes
I can’t even see smiles
Trying to comfort myself
Knowing no one dare to help
Alone in that dark place
But a light came out as I paced
Squinting my eyes to see hope
I wish I could cope up
I saw you there looking at me
Faith rose within me
I was so stupid before I knew
I merely forgot a friend like you
I was not alone, I was never been
You are giving me light since then
So, I took your hand happily
And you smiled at me amiably
Starting the day I met you
For me, it was a brand new
I’ll never forget the time
You became part of my life
