E/n/n - embarrassing nick name

You were walking in the park with Yu. Both of you had gone on a training journey and had just come back to metal city and Yu wanted to find Tsubassa.

'Yu, are you sure he'd be here?' you asked as you walked.
'Yes, (E/n/n)' Yu answered as he turned his head in every direction. 'There he is (E/n/n), let's go' he said and tried his best to drag you in the direction of where you could see Tsubassa sitting under a tree.
Why was this kid so obsessed with finding him.

'Tsubassa!!' Yu shouted as we walked towards the teen. He stood up and walked towards us.
'Hey guys, where have you been the past few days?' He asked confused. Didn't the kid tell him we went on a training journey!

'We went to train, Tsubassa. It was fun, fun. (E/n/n) was an awesome partner, even though she got pretty annoyed sometimes' Yu explained, getting whinny at the last part.

'You guys went on a training without me' Tsubassa complained, even though it was exactly a complain.
'I told (E/n/n) to ask you to come, but she was to shy' Yu explained like it was so obvious for you to be shy. It wasn't. That was the reason Tsubassa looked at you, lifting an eyebrow. You felt your face flush. You turned you head in Yu's direction and glared at him. Either he didn't know you were trying to kill him with a glare or he didn't care.

'And why would (y/n) be to shy?' Tsubassa asked, a tone of amusement in his voice.  Yu looked at you then back at Tsubassa. Back at you then Tsubassa. It went on like that for sometimes until he finally spoke.

'The secret is Tsubassa......(E/n/n) loveeeeeees you' he said dragging the love.  (Happy reference, any fairy tail fans?) You felt your cheeks heating up. You made a mental note then and there to toture, The little brat, next chance you got.

'Wait, w-what?' Tsubassa said, did he just stutter?.  'Got to go see Ben-ben now. See you later Tsubassa' the little brat ran off leaving Tsubassa and you in an awkward silence.
After what seemed like forever Tsubassa cleared his throat. 'Um...what Yu said wasn't true, was it?' He asked unsure, a light pink slightly visible in his face.
You looked at him then looked down, still blushing. You didn't answer. You could say no but that would be lying, but saying yes would make it even more awkward.
'(Y/n)?'

You looked at him but looked down again. 'I could answer, but it might make things very awkward' you said barley louder than a whisper.
You felt him place his hand on your shoulder. 'It won't get awkward. Promise' he said softly.
You sighed. 'What Yu sad was...,true' you said and slowly looked up and saw the pair of hazel eyes staring into yours.
'I really like you Tsubassa' you said words tumbled out of your mouth before you mind could react, 'and look I know you might not like me and all that, but we can still be friends then right?' You asked.

'Why do you always expect the worst (y/n)' it was more of a statement than a question. You looked down.

The suddenly you felt his arms wrap around you. You stiffened up but soon relaxed in his embrace. 'But you do have a point' he continued this time whispering at your ear 'I don't like you. I haven't for a long time'

Your heart sank.  Did he really mean what he said.  He let go of you but kept his hand on your shoulders. You felt tears prick your eyes, but before a tear could fall his lips crashed against yours.

You didn't react you were too shocked for your brain to function properly, but you your heart reacted instead and you started to kiss back. His lips were soft and sweet. You didn't want it to end but after what felt like hours, which was only actually seconds, you two parted for air, gasping

You looked at Tsubassa still confused at what happened, didn't he just say he didn't like you.
'(Y/n, I told you I didn't like you because actually....' he started explaining, his cheeks starting to turn a shade of red, 'Actually I love you' He said looking into you eyes. You felt yourself blushing even more, if that was possible.

His face was only inches apart from yours, so you did what seemed like the best thing to do and closed the gap by kissing him once more.
You felt Tsubassa's arms slide around your waist.

Maybe Yu isn't that much of a brat after all, might as well buy him some ice-cream next time.
