Rise Up

People shun you,
People put you down,
People try to turn your life upside-down,
They're comin' down on you like a hound,
Choking necks, hoping that you would drown,

A wise man once said,
Keep your friends close,
And your enemies closer,
Cause' some friends,
They only just pretend,
Holding a knife while giving a hand,
Making sure to get involve,
But loose enough to let it end,

All hope seems lost,
But let's give it a toss,

Rise up, stand up,
Take a leap into your future,
Heads up, face up,
Hold on tight and never lose sight,
Wake up, look up,
We're starting a new here,
Time to be the ones,
We never thought we were,

Tears are flying,
You try to hold em' in,
You hide the scars,
While giving it a grin,

So let your feelings show,
Don't let it win,
You've lost your loved ones,
But that ain't no sin,

You hate them bad,
They make it tough,
Be like a lad,
And play it rough,

In the end,
You'll be better,
When they're eating dust and wailing their cusses,
You'll live a life,
That's even better,
When you tried your best instead of giving it a rest.
