I woke up to Father shaking my arm. "Laura." He said and I stood up. He looked at me a little confused then smiled. "Morning. Get dressed and we'll go out for breakfast." I looked at my dresser then back at him. "I had Kitty get you some clothes." He said and left. I went to the closet and found a sundress. It was white with green flowers and black along the bottom and straps. I put it on, found a brush on my dresser, and found a pair of green sandles. After I was finished, I went down stairs and found Father talking to Kurt. When they saw me, Kurt's jaw dropped and Father smiled.
"How do I look?" I asked.
"Um, you look..." Kurt couldn't finish the sentence.
"Pretty." Father said and I smiled. He took my hand and started leading me to the gradge. "We'll be back later." He told Kurt.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Out for breakfast." Father said and Kurt run over to us.
"Mind if I come?" He asked.
"Sure." I said and he smiled. Father took us to a cafe for mutants. We ordered our food and Father and Kurt talked about cars. I looked out the window and saw a little boy holding his mother's hand. When he saw me, he smiled and waved. I waved back and saw Kurt look out the window. The boy grabbed his mother's leg and didn't look at us.
"Awww." Kurt said. "Kids never like me." He leaned back and pouted. I smiled and the waitress brought us our food. Father and I watched Kurt put fries up his nose. I looked at Father and he looked back at me. "Fine, no one thinks the Fuzzy Man's funny." He took them out and ate them.
"Your grose." I said and ate my pancakes. When we finished, Father paid and we went back to the mansion. Kurt grabbed my hand and took me to living room. He handed me a video game controller and turned on the game. After about five minutes, I crushed the controller from confussion. "Um." I handed it to Kurt and looked down.
"It's alright." He said and handed me a controller made of metal. "You can use Pete's." I nodded and we started playing again. After about ten minutes, I managed to brake this controller from confussion again. I handed it to Kurt and looked away again. "Um...well, we can play something else." He handed me a guitar that had five bottons and a long botton. He put the game called Rock Band in and explained to how to play. I started playing and, this time, I didn't break the guitar. Kurt played with the drums and we played for an hour. Father came in and sat next to me.
"After this song, turn it off so I can watch my game." He said and I nodded. We finished the song and let Father watch his game. I sat next to him and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I smiled and lied my head on his shoulder.
"Father." I said.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Would it be alright if I bought my clothes?" I asked and he nodded.
"I'll go with her!" Kitty ran in with a big grin.
"You got money?" Father asked and I shook my head. He pulled out his wallet. "How much you need?" I looked at Kitty.
"A hundred." She said and he glared at her.
"I was talking to Laura." He looked at me and I shrugged. He sighed. "I'll record my game and come." I smiled and waited for him to get ready. When he was, we took the X-Van and went to the nearest mall. Kitty took us to a store and handed me a lot of clothes to try on. I did and didn't like them. I picked some clothes I liked and tried them on. When I showed Father, he shook his head. "Too small." I got different clothes. "Too big." Some more clothes. "Too short." More clothes. "Too low." I grabbed black pants, a white sleeveless shirt, and a small leather jacket. I put them on and he tilted his head. "Spin." I did and he nodded. "Alright, pick out some more." I gave him the clothes and went to find more.
