Bon Fire

Three:"Where have you been?" Amy's nasally voice ring through my ears in a disgusted tone.
"Out." I walked over to my bed and rummaged through my suitcase for my oversized knit sweatshirt.
"Where?" She asked, her annoyance evident.
"Getting ready for the Bonfire." I lied. The Bon fire was an annual activity where the whole camp sits around a campfire and eats what ever they want. It's actually quite boring. There's burgers, marshmallows, hotdogs, and any kind of average american food Except pizza.
"You're going to that?" As she spoke, I thought about how her voice resembled Brittany Spears.
"Umm... It's mandatory." I turned my back to her and began to put on my pearl earrings.
"Doesn't mean I have to go."
"That's exactly what it means." If she loses anymore of her education, blondes will be making jokes about her.
"Umm, there's this thing called free will." She pointed out as if she were a genius.
"Yeah, and there's this thing called I don't care." I turned to face her again. Amy was the type of person, who was perfect. She never got into any trouble, and if she did, she always seemed to find a way to pin it in someone else or get out of it. She was skinny compared to me. I was skinny too, but just not in my eyes, and not compared to her.
I left Amy sitting on her bed, walking over to the lake, where the Bonfire was always held. Niall, Zayn, Harry, Liam, and Louis were already there, nudging each other and pretending to push each other off the dock. Niall's eyes caught mine, and his face glowed.
"What's up Bambi?" He called.
"Bambi?"
"That's my new nickname for you." He grinned proudly. "I think it's got a good ring to it, don't you think, Bambi?"
"You know what else has a nice ring? The ringing you'll be hearing in your ears when I do my damage." I playfully punch him in his arm.
Louis emerges from behind Niall, Mari following closely behind. I didn't even know Louis was there, for a second, I thought he came from nowhere.
"Anyone up for a camp song?" Mari asked, a gleam of hope and happiness in her eyes. Everyone moans and groans, and turns to Niall, secretly asking him if he brought his guitar. When he just stared at everyone Mari said,"No? No one? Okay."
Niall walked away from the fire, father into the trees. No one else notices his departure, so I follow him.
"What're you doing?" I asked, sounding incredibly nosey. He doesn't turn around to acknowledge my presence.
"Love me." He turns around dramatically, his eyes swimming with lust.
"Not this again, Niall." I push him away slightly but, that doesn't stop him.
"Please," he sounds almost like he's begging. "I need you, Evie."
"Stop, just stop!" Fury starts to take over me. "You know, we are not going to do this. Why are you like this? I don't want you Niall. I have Auden, and I'm not going to waste that chance I have with him."
"Evie-"
"We can be friends, but nothing more."
"But I want more. What can I can do, to get you?"
"This is like a drunken relationship, Niall. There are times when you want me, but there are times when you push me away. When your sober, you can't love me. You know, what happened last year, and that's exactly why I can't do this again. And it was wrong from the beginning."
His eyes hardened one me, before he pushed past me and mumbling,"Fine, be like that, bitch."
His words stung a little. I knew he was a jerk but, is he serious? If he wants to play that game, come on, let's play that game.
I took my time, trying to get back to the group. When I returned, it was even more crowed than I thought. They were all scattered, some sitting on logs or the dirt next to the fire, some meandering place to place, and some surrounding the lake.
Auden was amongst sitting by the fire on a log. Niall, however stood by the lake, talking to Amy. I took my seat next to my boyfriend, and Laid my head in his shoulder.
"Are you bored? Because I am. Is it boring?" I ask repeatedly.
"It's not the best. But I'm sure it'll get better." Auden soothed. I look over beside me, to find Niall full out making out with Amy right next to me. Pig.
"Find somewhere else to sit Styles! This seat is mine!" I heard Mari shout from across the fire.
"But I was already sitting here." I could hear him pout.
"You sat here while I got my wiener." My attention is moved to Mari and Harry arguing across from me. Harry stands up.
"I thought you were born with a wiener?" He jokes. Mari shoves him annoyed. He falls backwards into the fire. He catches himself before he is actually inside the fire. Harry picks him self up, and Mari starts screaming and pointing.
I shift my attention to the source of the cause of all the screaming, but soon my eyes are nearly out of their sockets. Fire quickly spread up Harry's sleeve. His own attention was soon caught ,his eyes also bulging out of their sockets.
"Make it stop!" He half whined, half screamed, and cried. "I'm too young!" Mari begins hitting him repeatedly in the are with her scarf, but there is no change. He starts running around completely rudderless.
There is a splash that comes from behind, near the docks. I slowly turn, around, and Harry is standing in the shallow part of the river, with a neutral facial expression. Everyone's quiet, before I finally break the silence. I turn to Niall with a smile on my face.
"I believe that was a prank, so, how many points is that? One or two?"
