Chapter 15

(Athena's POV)

I woke up to the movie stuck on the main menu. Also, I saw a shadowy figure in front of me. I rub my eyes, and close them again. "Athena... Babe..."

And a feel a handshake my shoulder. "Hmm." I groaned, flipping over away from the person.

"Babe, I thought we were supposed to go on a date."

That made me shoot straight up. Staring into his blue eyes, "I'm so sorry. I had training today, and I just felt tired after. I chose to take a nap, and..." That's when he stopped me with a quick kiss. "It's okay, Athena. Your mother is cooking dinner now and she said we can have a little down here in the basement." He said with a smile.

"Oh, I love my mother." I said, sitting up and standing.

Damon gives me a puppy dog face. "Oh, fine. I love you too." I said, giving him a hug.

We start to walk upstairs, and I jumped onto his back. "Athena, what are you doing?" He asked, trying to get his breath back.

"I want a piggyback ride," I said with a laugh.

He carried me back upstairs and sat me down on the couch. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go check up on dinner." He said, going through the door to the kitchen. I heard them whispering. I slowly sneak over to the door, when suddenly it opened. Making me fall back on my butt. Damon laughed his butt off at me and he even snorted which made me laugh even more. "What are you doing?" He asked me.

Helping me up, and he rubbed my butt trying to make it better. I slapped his hand away, "Y'all were whispering."

"We were just talking about what she was cooking. Come on, let's go and sit in the dining room." Damon said.

As I was walking into the dining room. Damon covered my eyes with his hands, "What are you doing?" I ask again.

"It's a surprise."

I place my hands on top of his, laughing at him. "Okay, I'm going to help you sit down. Please don't open your eyes." I nodded, moving his hands.

"Okay, I won't peak," I said.

Damon then helped me sit down, and I kept my promise. "Susan will please bring the food in."

Suddenly, I smelled my favorite foods. I smiled, "Here you guys go." My mom said.

"Thank you," Damon said. I heard the clatter of plating and then silence.

"Okay, now open your eyes." I heard Damon said.

I slowly open my eyes and gasp at the beautiful sight in front of me...
