"All right everyone. Listen up. I will call your name and you will pick a partner. Be quick about it, I don't want any complaining.", Ms. Gultrey said. She picked up her cup with sticks in it. She pulled out the first one.

" Karey."

"Umm, I choose Sasha."

"Michael."

"I pick Brendon."

"Sarah."

"Let's go...Leah."

"Duncan."

"Keith."

"Sam."

"Um, how bout' Josh."

I listened as Ms. Gultrey droned on and on, I listened to all the names that went by.

"Kaylee."

"I pick Chloe."

Of course, they're still mad at me. Well Kaylee is. Chloe is being forced to agree with Kaylee because she doesn't want to ruin her pretty perfect reputation for her best friend!

"Ryan."

"I pick Naomi."

Wait what? Did Ryan just pick me? I must have been the last person left.

"Jonathan."

"Caleb."

"Molly."

"I'll take Casa."

"And lastly, Dustin you will be with Tara."

Ryan picked me over 6 other people. 3 of which were boys. Ryan picked me over 6 people! Why?!

"All right everyone. Sit by your partner and take a computer."

Ryan was a couple with Kaylee for 2 and a half months. That's the only way I know him. Jonathan is one of his best buds, and he picked me. Why would he pick me over him?Why?!

"Hey Naomi."

"Oh, hey. Uh, where do you want to sit."

"Let's sit right here."

"Okay, let me go get a computer."

Oh my god, I'm acting so weird in front of him. I grabbed a computer and slowly started walking back. Okay, well, if Ryan picked me, I better act worth it. Ryan is one of the most popular guys in school. The only reason he broke it off with Kaylee was for his reputation. He was being teased for dating an "Asian chic". I started getting mad. But then, I calmed myself. Stay cool, Ryan picked you, stay cool, this could be good for your reputation. Oooh, and it will make Kaylee jealous. Now that's revenge for stereotyping Ashlyn. I flipped my hair and sauntered over to Ryan. I sat down next to him.

Ms. Gultrey shouted, " Now get to work!"

I smiled at Ryan and used my best girly voice."So, what topic do you want to write about?"

"I thought either self esteem, social relationships, or civics."

"How about social relationships?", I said twirling my hair.

"Sure."

"Alright, why don't we start our basic outline whatever it's called", I said.

"Sure, whatever you say."

"Okay, I'll look up points to write about, why don't you do the other thing we have to do?"

"Sure."

I opened the document and started writing. I thought social relationships would be good to make Kaylee jealous, and it might even make Ryan into me. I love slacking off and being a typical normal girl. It's also a plus with boys, in movies the boy always want the dumb ones. When I can be "dumb" I will be, because frankly, school sucks. Everyone thinks I'm smart so it's hard for people to see what I really am. I'm simply not interested in learning. At all. But I'm normally not allowed to "be dumb"or I'll get a bad grade and if I get a bad grade, well......I don't even want to say.
